What an odd place. There must be a story behind the hotel which seems very quiet and rather odd. It has been refurbished some years ago in a rather bizarre style and now seems to have been left to go to semi ruin. We stayed in a very strange room with its own bar and bed on a raised Dias....

The hotel as such was quite nice, with clean large rooms. However, the so-called continental breakfast, which can be had for 12 Euros, consisted of a baguette, some jam and honey and a glass of juice. I found the price ridiculously expensive for this type of food. Worse, the hotel claimed that Internet connection over WiFi was available in all...

The Mas du Luberon is a good location outside of Aix, making the prices reasonable. The 4-person rooms were useful for the family, although the rooms are on the weird side. They are basically remodeled, re-purposed parts of a former bar, converted into rooms. In The Calanque room, for example, we had a nice terrasse, and a 12-foot-long wet bar...

Six of us stayed at this hotel during Rugby World Cup 2007. We wanted to stay firstly in Marseille (where the games were being played) but the city was block booked. Our second choice was the lovely town of Aix en Provence but that was hard going as well so we moved further out. The hotel can be found on...

I read with interest the other reviews. They totally miss the point. You don't stay here to explore Venelles, which is a charming small village although not much to see or do there. But it is an excellent location to explore Provence. It's only a short drive (10-15 minutes) to Aix and to the main roads that can take you...

We wanted to stay in Aix but couldn't find a hotel; the village is dull, but it is close to Aix and other areas of interest so was fine for a stop-over. We had a very large room which was ideal for our family with 2 small children. The food was superb (green tomato jam..yum!) and the staff were very...

Our group held a seminar in the Mas du Luberon based on information provided on its web site. 1) The product clearly was not up to the standards of what had been advertised, mostly due to the location in the middle of a (sorry) uninteresting village. 2) The staff were very nice 3) The rooms were very large, clean and...
