The small surf and shallow drop-off make it safe and easy for families with little ones, or elders who prefer not to be whomped by incoming breakers. We loved our stay at the Hostel Chacala and plan on going back there as soon as we can!!! Lindy & Mikey were perfect hosts, telling us all about their quaint village. With their advise we ate at some fantastic beach front restaurants. Lindy was also very knowledgeable about the local real estate prices and all of the activities we...

The hostel is clean, roomy, and very close to the beach and everything you need in this town. Mikey is very knowledgeable in surf scene as well as fishing. Lindy is...

Great hospitality and generosity. Very helpful couple run this lovely hostel/surf shop just a few steps to the beach and plaza. All in all, staying in the Chacala hostel, along with the surf at La Caleta made for a fantastic trip to Chacala - and what a bargain! We will be back for sure!

Dorm and private rooms both have private bathrooms and the kitchen was fully equipped....perfect. The owners are very helpful and even gave...
