We visited Santorini during our honeymoon journey and we choose to stay at Reflections Sea. The accomodation was clean and inspired by traditional caves, so unordinary. We got appartment with pool view and were really satisfied. The breakfasts were tasty, variable and fresh, and the hotel owner was really nice and able to make every our wish. The hotel location is perfect for both - trips or sunbathing on the beach, that is made of black sand and stones. Hotel has its own beach section with luxurious beach equipment. At all - Santorini is really wonderful island, with so spectacular views and nature, that is really worth to visit. We visited Vlychada becah, Red beach and Perissa beach and also the citieas with spectacular sunset - Oia and Fira. We were really happy to stay here and plan to return some time again. Recommended with 5*.…
No option for 0 stars! The location having said that is fantastic, right opposite the beach and close by all the restaurants of Kamari. Unfortunately that’s where the positive feedback ends. We arrived and checked in and were taken to what can only be described as the worst room I have ever seen, right at the back of the complex. I’m not really sure where to start! The bathroom – well – very small with a shower and toilet (too close to the wall to even sit on it), the shower had no screen and so the whole bathroom and kitchen flooded when used. But that wasn’t the worst bit – the window, right above the toilet and in full view of the shower that opened right onto the passage, and the shutters didn’t close, so NO privacy at all. The kitchen – if you can call it that was a sink and a kettle and various oddments of cutlery and crockery and a fridge that didn’t work. The wardrobe was tiny, and the safe didn’t work – apparently the previous people had taken the key with them! We had to carry all our money, jewellery and passports etc. around with us, even onto the beach! The reading lights above the bed were turned on using a piece of blue wool! The rear shutters didn’t close and as for the patio, well it was a tiny square with rubble etc. in the corner – the view was wasteland and more rubble. We complained immediately and were informed that the hotel was full and we couldn’t be moved. We had to endure the ‘cell’ for the night! The next morning we asked could we be moved to the ‘sister’ hotel, but were told that this was not possible – so we contacted our travel agents. In the meanwhile the Manager managed to find a better room for us to move into. This was the ‘show room’ that is on all the websites – don’t get me wrong it was much better than the first room, with a lovely large patio area and views of the sea. However considering the price we had paid – this was not a cheap holiday, this room was still not up to standard – there was no kettle, just a rusty two ring hob that plugged into the wall; however the plug was falling out of the wall. The kitchen again was filled with oddments of crockery and a rusty fridge. The bathroom was better, although the toilet seat was falling off! Since our return we have complained to the travel company TWICE, however each time the response is that we didn’t complain and were offered alternative accommodation in the sister hotel immediately – unfortunately this was not true. The location is lovely and the small plunge pool is nice, no bar to speak of, only opens till 8.00 and no restaurant. If you want sun loungers you need to eat/drink in one of the local bars/restaurants as the hotel has given up it’s right to part of the beach. As for breakfast – the coffee was nice! There are much better hotels along the same stretch; I would definitely NOT pick this one.…
The hotel is very basic in an old style Greek way. I was staying on my own and had chosen it because it advertised WiFi in rooms. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. The chap running the place told me everyone complained about it. The day time chap was a complete waste of space, telling me he would get the WiFi code of a nearby hotel, but in reality doing nothing. The room was very basic, clean, with a kitchen. Towels changed daily. My room was out the back, no where near the beautiful photos in their publicity. The walk to the room often smelled of cats pee. My patio had a great view of rebar building steel and next doors service yard. Breakfast was fine, fresh bread, eggs etc, but again basic. Publicity spoke of private beach. There is, but it’s not the hotels private beach, you have to agree to spend money at the hotel next door. The advertised pool is nothing more than a plunge pool. I was very disappointed when barman tried to overcharge me for my beer and then argued he was correct I insisted on seeing the menu and behold he was overcharging. Overall I thought a hotel that had promise was ultimately very disappointing. I certain,y wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay there again.…
My boyfriend and I had the most amazing stay here, we can’t wait to come again. While the decorations and furnishings in the hotel rooms were slightly outdated, they were kept nice and clean and were incredibly spacious. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The outdoor spaces in the hotel were beautiful and covered with flowers and the pool was gorgeous and clean. The surrounding area was lovely too, great restaurants and beaches. We’ll definitely be staying here again soon!
My husband and I stayed here for a week from the 11th - 18th May for my birthday. After taking a taxi from the airport we finally found the “hotel”. The manager was waiting by a doorway and proceeded to tell us he was just about to leave, if we had turned up five minutes later we would have had to phone the number on the door to the sister hotel to be let into our room. He then told us we had to pay a room tax but to sort that in the morning- this is not mentioned in the advert for this hotel so budget for this. We then went to our room, and what a shock we got. On the Loveholidays website the rooms are advertised with crisp white bedding and candles and flowers, this is so far from the truth. The rooms are dark and dingy with old fashioned bedding, broken rusty lamps and broken windows. After spending the first night on what I can only describe as sleeping on a stone slab - the bed or should I say beds as the double bed was two singles pushed together were so uncomfortable to sleep on. We went to see the manager at the reception area, this was also dark and dingy and doubled up as the area were you got your breakfast, to see about changing room to be told that it was fully booked and could not do so until 2 days before we were going home. I asked why the rooms were not as advertised and he stated they were exactly like advertised - look on the website at the advert and see the photos I have posted and make your own mind up. Breakfast was a disappointment as well, I’ve had continental breakfast before, but this was orange juice watered down, stale cereal, hard croissants and other indescribables. Other amenities advertised at this hotel were sun beds on the beach - not one was insight, we had to go further down to the restaurants and buy food and drinks to be able to use their facilities. After the complaint was made three days later two sun beds appeared by the pool, or should I say plunge pool. Other things were the tv did not work, and the most important the air conditioning blew hot air instead of cold. The bathroom got soaked every time the shower was used as it did not have a curtain or screen, and as for the jacuzzi bath I wouldn’t even run it as it was disgusting. Then there was the kitchen which consisted of a table top fridge, two shelves to hold utensils and an ELECTRIC two ring cooker on the draining board next to the taps - this is a health and safety issue in itself. We spoke to other guests at the hotel who were also very disappointed , and had problems just like us with things not as advertised or not working - this room was going to be shown to us as an alternative but we flatly refused. I then contacted Loveholidays and provided photos to back up my complaints, and after several days of investigation by themselves they decided nothing was wrong and closed the complaint. The only good thing about this holiday was the people in the nearby restaurants who were so welcoming and hospitable. The island itself is very relaxing, apart from every 2 minutes getting asked if you want a massage / tattoo on the beach. If you want to visit Santorini do yourself a favour and don’t stay here, there are much better hotels further up the promenade. Oh and I forgot to mention the cats, they are everywhere and scream, cry and fight right through the night. Would we recommend this hotel - never would be the answer.…
We have just arrived back from having a wonderful time. We would highly recommend this hotel. If you want a typical Greek style hotel this is it. It's small, clean and the staff I have to say excel themselves to help you with anything you wish to know. Myself and Annie would like to thank the very smiley hotel manager Angelic, also John. Jannis the lovely lady in the kitchen and the cleaner who kept our room spotless. Seriously if you want Greek go here. Kamari is definately the best place to stay on the island it has excellent restaurants and very good local wine especially if you like sweet red. Thank you for a fabulous stay in Santorini. Debbie and Annie
Me and my boyfriend had the most amazing time here, lovely staff especially the manager. They will help you with anything , highly recommend. Santorini is a beautiful place, once in a life time experience kind of place to visit. 10/10 in everything :) I
Ten enchanting days! The place, you know, is wonderful ... But the locals even more! And the hotel team the best you could wish for! We had a great time, pampered and surrounded by friendly and joyful hospitality! And Angelica ... the best manager!
Unfortunately we were only in Santorini for 3 days/4 nights- but what an amazing experience it was. Santorini Relfextions Sea is a wonderful place to stay with the most fantastic location. Literally a stones throw from the beach - perfect. There were more modern hotels along Kamari beach front, but I loved the authenticity of Reflextions Sea. Yes, the bathrooms could be updated somewhat, but the heart of the place more than made up for that. FANTASTIC staff - unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the young lady who helped us out during our stay, but she was fantastic. Great recommendations of how to get around and helped us get taxis, even at peak times. This was a very special trip for us and staying here was a great move. THANK YOU.
Nice hotel in Santorini We spent one week in a good location beach front in Kamari, far from the crowded town like Oia but central to visit easily all the island which has fantastic location within max 30 min distance by car or motorbike (or bus). Follow the suggestion of the hotel manager and you will enjoy! Thanks for the warm hospitality! Alessandro and Veronica
