For- quiet hotel and location, short walk to bars and beach. Clean rooms and maid came every day, pool clean and quiet. Against- dated rooms, shower so small I had to shower with the curtain open, basic breakfast (ham, cheese, bread, boiled eggs, cereal, juice) no coffee/tea making facilities in room. Pool bar was closed in June, hardly closed season. You could go into the hotel for a drink but bit of a pain when there is a bar at the poolside. We ended up nipping in the hotel next door for a drink and a lunch time snack, we would have spent our money at the Artemis' pool bar if it was open. On our third day the toilet seat came off, the maid spotted it and took it away, we presumed she'd inform maintenance to fit another. When we left four days later we still had no toilet seat! It is a cheap (for Santorini) basic hotel so you get what you pay for. Would I go back? Only if I got an incredible deal!…
This family owned hotel was fabulous. The owners went beyond to make us feel special and so accommodating. My husband and I had adjoining rooms with our daughter which was a delight. Location was fantastic, walking distance to the beach with umpteen restaurants to choose from. This gem was an absolutely pleasure to stay in. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all you viewers….you won’t be disappointed. Pool area was awesome. ….just sitting around and looking at all the beautiful flowers melted my heart. Thank you again to this family owned hotel…you were amazing. Signed the Brunette’s
We thank the Gilrs for such a great week. We could not have been wlcomed and looked after more. It is a perfect hotel to chill and get away from the more busier front at Kamari, which isn't bad but when you want the daytime Kamari and the night-time peace this is a perfect hotel. Very clean, lovely breakfasts and very, very hard working staff. If we return to Kamari we will return to the Artemis.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. Everything was very close to us and it was good to walk around. Breakfast options were minimal and same every morning so if I can give an little advice is to change it up a little but it did the job for us in the mornings.
from the moment we walked in, Artemis at the front desk (Her family owns the hotel) was so incredibly helpful and welcoming. She set up a wonderful wine tasting and could not have been a better concierge for where we wanted to dine and explore. The ambience was really lovely, and the hotel is very clean and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. The pool was lovely and provided either direct sun or lovely shade. I plan on coming back within the next couple of years!
This hotel is one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the privilege of staying at. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh towels and linens provided daily. We had a spectacular balcony with beautiful sea views. The breakfast provided was incredibly tasty. The pool area is the epitome of tranquility with plenty of space to sunbathe and swim. The most memorable aspect of this hotel however is definitely the two wonderful ladies who run it. There is a calm and peaceful vibe as soon as you enter and nothing is too much trouble. I was so grateful to both ladies and all those who work at this hotel for making my stay one of peace, relaxation and over all serenity. I honestly cannot wait to return!
My partner Alan and I have just returned from the most fantastic week at the Artemis and already can’t wait to return! The hotel is basic but very clean! The rooms could do with updating, the bathroom was small but the shower was powerful enough… the girls couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel very welcome! They organised our sunset cruise and everything went perfectly! The breakfast was simple but plenty and as the hotel is quite small not crowded! The pool area is clean and well kept although no pool bar (there is a bar inside though) a few minutes walk to the shops and resturants ( the Alexander was fabulous) which was perfect for us! Thank you for a brilliant time and we would highly recommend anyone to stay here!
Arrived late evening and greeted so warmly by the lovely owner Maria . It was late and hot , but she still took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area , plus other places of interest , before showing us to our room. Our room was spotlessly clean and the view as we opened the doors to the balcony was breathtaking. Breakfast is lovely , with choices of coffees , juices , pastries , cereals , fruit , breads, preserves etc . Sweet treats homemade by Maria's sister Eleni . Always greeted warmly by all staff , room cleaned and fresh towels daily . The pool area is just what we ordered ! Clean , quiet and beautiful. Never any struggle for a sunbed , and sunshine all day long . A lovely front garden also to sit and enjoy some shade . This is a family run hotel , and you can feel that the minute you walk through the door . It had a heart and really good vibes . Unlike other hotels where you are just a paying guest , the lovely sisters and thier staff make you feel like part of a family . Sorry to say it was only for a week .. but without a doubt we will be returning ! Couldn't praise this hotel enough , and at a fantastic price too . Easy to walk to the shops , restaurants and beach in kamari , but also easy to get the bus to Fira and see the blue domes at Oia . We enjoyed a day in Oia , but couldn't wait to return to the chilled relaxed vibe of Kamari and the friendly faces at Artemis . Totally recommend. No issues at all . Thank you Maria Amd Eleni . We will see you again one day ! X…
I could not say enough about management at this hotel. We were picked up at the airport at 4:30 am, offered a beautiful clean room with fully remodeled bathroom. The owner brought us cold water as well, arranged for car rental for us for an amazing price and catered to all of our needs. You feel as part of the family at this hotel very genuine staff willing to cater to your every need. Would definitely be back with my family.
This is a basic boutique hotel with some charming aspects - some of the staff were warm and welcoming - particularly one of two the sisters who runs this hotel. It’s a very basic hotel with some need of refurbishment- mainly the bathroom. No working phones in the room, and the internet service is terrible. As a solo traveler I felt at risk with no phone and poor internet. The outside area is lovely, charming, and breakfast does the job. The hotel is cleaned, and daily - fresh towels. This hotel is located in a great part of Kamari - easy access to the main areas and shops. The quite after 22:30 wasn’t followed by some guests, but no phone to call reception. In summary, has a lot of potential to be a good hotel if the owners invest in a few updates. Also, as a solo traveller I received a verbal warning to not bring any visitors back to my room - a presumption of this nature was most hurtful, felt my character was being judge based on my ethnicity. As a POC, I was not always met with a great reception by some staff (this did change slightly) and other guests during my 5 nights stay. On leaving the hotel I was told “have a great life” - not sure if this is something Greek people say to one another- I have a great life, just needed quite place to chill whilst I topped up my vitamin D and had my hallway decorated.…
