amazing very clean great friendly Manager & staff at this hotel clean towels every day very near taverna's sea & beach breakfast was amazing so to the pools & cafe/bar very near bus station for buses to other areas to visit Thira or organise boat trip tours & excursions
Our ferry to Crete was cancelled, so we needed to scramble for accommodations in Santorini. Luckily, we landed on Proteas hotel, a little gem in Kamari. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Kamari beach and the shops and restaurants around there. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and again is a simple buffet but tasty and fresh. The hotel is run by a lovely mother and daughter who are extremely accommodating and friendly. They helped us with booking a motorbike, printing our boarding pass, and finding transport to the airport. They were super helpful! This hotel is a great value and a nice, low key place to stay in Kamari. It matches the vibe of Kamari itself, which doesn’t have the touristy-ness or crowds of Oia, but is very pleasant, authentic and relaxing. Plus the beach is good (though I’d recommend driving over to Perissa beach about 15 minutes down the road).…
stayed for 5 nights at room 105 mountain view..Athina and Evangelia hosted me with excellent sense of greek hospitality!! Always with warm smile and good attitude!! it was a great experience , very clean and comfort, classic buffet breakfast , also they gave me the extra informations i needed to spent my holidays as i wished.. nice beach near by, ancient Thira was a good early-morning trip and on the way of return i had the chance to find Zoodochou Pighis chapel where the only physsical spring in Santorini is hidden inside ( respect the place , its spiritual ) !! i highly recommend it and i wish i find again the chance to stay again !!
Gorgeous little family run place. Spotless clean and the room was turned over everyday. It’s quite and on the cleaner side of Kamari beach Mother and daughter were very friendly and helpful. Really glad I chose here compared to the expensive hotels with pools full of inflatables and screaming kids. I’d choose the place again if I came back for sure!
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Proteas at the end of September for a week. It is a very pretty Hotel from the outside and very well kept. We had a ground floor room and I was a bit worried about traffic noise when we arrived as our room was on the front and a road passes right past. However, there was no problem with road noise at all which was a relief. The room was clean and maid service daily with fresh towels. The Air Con worked well which was a god send with it being over 29 degrees most days. There was a little terrace part outside which was nice to sit in the shade. Breakfast was basic, cereal, meat and cheese, assorted breads/croisants/cakes, yogurt, juice water and coffee, if you want tea, you will need to ask for it, and the tea selection is limited. It was a light breakfast, but if you need something more substantial, there is an Irish Pub - just minutes down the road which do a hearty English breakfast (yes, proper English sausage and bacon), Omlettes, breakfast sandwiches etc which was quite reasonably priced - Oh and a proper cup of tea !!!!! All in all a pleasant little hotel which we enjoyed being at.…
A really lovely little hotel in the middle of Kamari. Very boutique and such welcoming owners who are very attentive. A great little place. We stayed there for one night as part of a two day tour of Santorini and it was a perfect place to relax after a hectic day of sight-seeing and enjoying the “black sand” beach in Kamari.
Nice room! The AC was working perfectly. This was the most important thing as the temperature outside was 41 degree celsius. I just would like to say that boiled eggs can be added for the breakfast. Moreover, a few bananas, apples and unpeeled oranges would also help.
Just 100m from the beach, hotel proteas is a value for money accommodation. Clean, colorful, with polite and very friendly owner Enangelia. Bus station for Fira is 50m away and there is a nearby free parking as well. It's is located at the center of Kamari.
I stayed here in early August with my partner for 3 nights. Had a fantastic little stay here. Wished we could have stayed longer (only left because we had a flight booked). The staff here are just wonderful (mother and daughter). They are super friendly and around all the time if you have any issues or want to go anywhere. We got our room cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bedding. The breakfast was delicious every morning. This involved cereals, yoghurt, fruit, meats, bread and more. The rooms were fantastic and spacious. We had a great view from our balcony and could see the sea. It's in the perfect location, very close to the beach. Only a couple of minutes walk away. I would 100% stay here again. It was really cheap which I was suprised at because of the really good location and how beautiful and clean the hotel is. This hotel is great for couples, families and backpackers. If you want to stay in the prettiest hotel in Santorini for a fantastic price that is close to everything then this is the place for you. 10/10 :-).…
We only stayed one night in this bed and breakfast hotel, booking it on spec two days before we went. It's in a good location a few minutes walk from Kamari beach and our room was very spacious with a view from the balcony to the sea. The bathroom too was large and everything was spotlessly clean. The wifi signal was surprisingly good. There was a fridge and hairdryer in the room, and no supplement for the air conditioning. The breakfast was substantial, partly buffet style and partly served by the proprietress. There was yoghurt, muesli, cornflakes, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, bread & cake. We would definitely go there again if we were in Kamari.
