The motel was clean and well equipped. It's a slightly older style one but had everything you could need. The owners were pleasant and helpful. My one criticism would be the minimal tv channels, not even the full complement of standard NZ ones. On a couple of VERY wet Waimate evenings the prospect of having to choose between Discovery or...

The kingswood motels has a few newly refurbished rooms and a few older ones that are well kept. We were in one of the older rooms with a little kitchenette and it had everything we needed! The place was very clean and the new owners are friendly and helpful, with ample local knowledge.

We stayed in one of the newer units and were very satisfied with the accommodation. The hosts were pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived, settling us in and giving us information about the town and its attractions. The room was well-priced and very clean and comfortable. All the facilities required for eating, sleeping, and relaxing were provided and...

This will become a regular business stop over for me. The hosts are very nice and the rooms are great.. not much more to tell than that! Well priced, clean and warm (it IS the middle of Winter!). It's very quiet here too, not that there is much traffic to disturb your sleep.

Spent a weekend here in a comfortable, extremely hospitable motel. From the moment I was booked in until I left the owners were friendly and helpful. The motel is older style but very comfortable. There are newer units available.

We stayed in a 'two bedroom' unit with our young child and my mother (as we had a wedding to go to). While we saw some other units that our friends stayed in, this one really could not be called 2 bedroom as it had a bed in the lounge, cut off only by a curtain which didn't even reach...

We stayed here for one night and found the apartment to be comfortable and clean. We had full cooking facilities and plenty of room with a lounge and big TV. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is it's a little tired and dated for the price we paid.

Stayed here for 3 night unit we had was very dated but tidy. The first 2 nights we had to put up with guests in other rooms having dogs. As the hosts had let them stay with them being waimate a&p show weekend. The dogs started barking at 5.30 with owners washing and grooming. Other wise a good stopping place....

“If you do stay here, ask for the standalone two bedroom units, which were much more spacious, light and welcoming. This room was fairly depressing.”
