For the price the alpine lodge offers a comfortable stay. Our room was warm, the service was very friendly, and the basic amenities were available. As with any equivalent accommodation for the price it was not luxury. The shower room was cold. They supplied wifi, but this was by a limited card, and you could only access with one device...

I love this lodge! Stayed two years now for two nights each time and really cannot recommend highly enough. This time was with my parents as well, and we booked the adjoining rooms. The setting was fantastic and the view from the rooms was lovely. Love the communal areas, the kitchen was well stocked, there was ample room to eat...

Motel connected with Lodge has good views, is comfortably fitted out and had excellent heating (this was mid-winter). It is connected with the Hermitage and there was a free shuttle up to the Hermitage which at this time of year (low occupancy) was more-or-less on demand: excellent service given sub-zero temperatures. Motels also near the main lodge with bar/restaurant.

Very friendly staff. We arrived 1 day earlier than our booking and gt lucky of getting the last room although we pay more due to its last day of summer season. Very tidy communal kitchen. Very clean room too.

The breathtaking view from their huge lounge on the first floor onto Mt Cook alone is well worth your money! The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond in order to make our stay with our 10 month old twin boys as comfortabler as possible. Also, the place is absolutely reasonably priced for the area!

The place is a small lodge with medium sized rooms... our room had a small porch outside with splendid views of Mount Cook... you can get the same views from the lounge area on the 1st floor of the lodge, but its better when lying on your bed
