We are so glad we stayed here for our overnight at Mt. Cook. Super helpful staff with recommendations for activities and trails. Our room was a twin private (with 2 twin beds) with a view of the mountains. It is clean, comfortable, and cozy. Very good kitchen facilities. Front desk also offers sales of simple pantry ingredients, which we took...

although more expensive for a room to myself than other hostels, the comfortable bed and amazing view more than compensated. warm and sunny aspect with plenty of spaces in common areas to chill out. just being amongest those mountains was so awe inspiring i didn't want to leave, longer stay next time ! (thanks jonno at reception for helpful advice).

Loved staying here, friendly staff which meant friendly people. Nice big kitchen and common area. Location is good but it's about a 20 minute walk to the main restaurant and info centre although only a 5 minute walk from the only bar in town. I stayed in a dorm and it worked out well, not a load of space but...

This is such a great little place to stay in Mt. Cook with great views from the yard of the mountains. It has the rustic appearance and is so quiet and close to nature, peaceful. There are no supermareket in Mt. Cook but the hostel sells food at reasonable prices for those who still want to cook along with recipe...

I found this hostel to be just what I needed. It's in town, very clean and they even have a sauna! Kitchen was well stocked and the staff answered any questions that I had. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm. The bunk above me was squeaking very badly the first night I stayed here but I mentioned it...

This is a typical YHA hostel and it didn't disappoint. It was clean, well appointed and staffed by helpful and friendly staff. It was fully booked out when we stayed but the hostel still had a feeling of comfort and could handle the volume. The views of Aoraki/Mt Cook from our window were totally amazing! The bathrooms and showers were...
