We stayed for one night here for our last night at the South Island. It was raining and was so cloudy when we got there, but we can still see a glimpse of the mountains. It was so beautiful. Our room had a large picture window with a perfect view. The room was large and spacious, the bed and pillows...

Beautiful hotel. Great restaurant. Nice bar with very helpful staff everywhere. We booked at the last minute and didn't get a good view from our room. Booking on 5 days notice does that. They do have many rooms with great views of the mountains. Ask to make sure you get one. There is a buffet restaurant that looked like they...

We booked the premium plus room to ensure excellent view should the weather gods permit. They did, and on day 2 set the alarm to watch the sunrise over Mt Cook. Very special , very lucky. Our room 1011 had a balcony off the end, perfect for photography which otherwise would be through glass. Room comfortable, large with sitting area...

We stayed on the ninth floor of the Aoraki wing in a spacious, comfortable room with absolutely stunning views of the mountains. The bed was very nice, with lovely crisp linens and soft pillows. We had a small sofa and an armchair, plus a desk and chair, so lots of good places to sit and admire that view. The room...

55km off the highway nestled at the base of the mountains with blue green ice clinging to near vertical cliffs just outside the village. Its isolated, so yes they can charge a bit more. I get that. Standard room was OK clean tidy and basic. meet my expectations. Service, well clearly the stable income stream here is the bus loads...

The room was fine but nothing exceptional. The room was very cold and nothing we did warmed it up until a call to the desk. Oh we control the temp from down here. Soon the room was warming up. This was a one night stay so I am sure it would be a fine place to visit and stay.

Well, we had booked our stays in last August with a Chalet. And they sent us an email about the changing management of the chalet to Mt Cook Motel in last October. The hotel supervisor said the service would be high level as same as the hotel because the motel is under the same management of the company. However, they...

I had waited so long to come here. I stayed 5 nights. This is truly the most beautiful place to visit. Rooms are fine, very clean, beds great. Views to die for. Food is good, plenty of choice but premium prices. The complaint I have is of the Asian groups and the noise they make. Slamming of doors, shouting, spitting...

When you hear the word "Hermitage" you might naturally think of St. Petersburg and the opulent Hermitage of the Czars. Having booked through an upscale travel agency, so did I. Boy was I wrong! This place is just not close to acceptable. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the billion dollar view. This place is really...
