Room was very good but let down by poor maintenance. It has potential but canteen style restaurant gave the place the feel of an upmarket hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall OK as choice is very limited here. Buy own food at Twizel is a good option.

We got a room facing the mountains on the second floor. The view is unbeatable, it is not mt cook but they all look beautiful to me. I just wanted to stay on the balcony all day. The price was quite reasonable. The room was a bit old but clean.

We were on a whirlwind 10-day visit of New Zealand and spent a night at the Mt. Cook Lodge. They offer both motel and hostel style accommodations. The three of us stayed in a 2 bedroom motel. It had basic kitchenette facilities and was very clean and well kept. The location is fantastic. A short walk to the trail head...

We had a nice room and the weather was very good with breathtaking views of Mt. Cook. The room was in generally good shape with some minor maintenance items reported to the front desk. Internet cards have to purchased at the front desk.

We stayed here for one night in a motel room. It was really nice accommodation (despite looking a little tired from the outside). Located right beneath Mt Cook with spectacular views and walks all around. The room was spacious with a full kitchen and lovely space outside overlooking the mountains. Only downside for us about the room was having to...

Pouring with rain on our arrival at Mt.Cook but we found things to do. The Edmund Hillary Museum at the bigger hotel there was well worth the visit. We had views out to Mt.Cook from our room and easy under cover car access to our carport in the pouring rain made getting into and out of the unit very easy.

We had dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant was spacious & had a really good view though the food was just average. Reception lady was friendly. Room was comfortable. The lodge is in a good location with several good walking trails

Mount Cook is a must visit place if you are on the tour to New ZEaland. We stayed here for one night. The Place is extraordinarily beautiful. The Hotel is situated at a perfect location. We had a Private Room and it was quite spacious and clean. It had Private Balcony and a sufficient place to park your car in...

If one wants to go to Mt Cook in the tourist season then one cannot expect that much. Although we booked months ago the best we could get was a four bed dorm. No complaints about that, per se, but shampoo container empty - although think that now superceded by small bottles. Towels not provided. Beds functional at best. Who...

Warm and cozy, modern and in a fantastic location. We stayed in one of the recently modernised motel units. We loved the room and the whole Mt Cook experience. The pub attached to the motel is also very nice (good food and friendly service). If you make it this far, a walk up Hooker Valley is highly recommended. The motel...
