We loved staying at this out of the way gem! The setting is tranquil and unique. The hosts, Jo and Kevin, made us feel totally at home. In fact, they made us feel a special part of their guest "family". Jo's cooking is a 'must'. The owners made us feel that their vocation was to offer true hospitality to the...

Such an amazing lodge, great friendly owners, yummy food, a lovely hot spa, The walk tracks where very well signposted and the scenery was just beautiful. A fabulous 9 hole golf course (mind you I can say that as I ended up getting my first hole in one on No:3). I could have easily spent longer here. So looking forward...

Not being able to get into the ski lodge up at Mt Olympus, we decided to stay at Lake Coleridge Lodge - thank you Mt Olympus for being booked out! We would never have found such a peaceful lodge filled with winter warmth, amazing 3-course meals and wonderful new owners, Jo and Kevin. Thank you. We will be back! Wendy,...

Peaceful area with beautiful scenery, a large log fire burning merrily, a hot spa, good food and wine and plenty of conversation made the weekend stay relaxing and enjoyable. The hosts couldn't do enough for us. Will spread the word and definitely go back.

An impromptu trip up to Mt Olympus ski field left us with the option of either camping in our vehicle(very, very cold night) or finding accomodation elsewhere as the field lodges were all booked up. Enter TripAdvisor; a place that I must’ve driven past a hundred times during my tenure in New Zealand is on their map: Lake Coleridge Lodge....

My wife and I spent a night here for our wedding anniversary recently. It is a pleasant, older building with its own history set in a beautiful mountain valley. The rooms are quite adequate if not large in size; ours came with an ensuite. The dining area is a slim rectangular area adjacent to the spacious lounge; dinner was available...

We stayed in one of the Superior rooms(without meals) at the lodge, it was everything you could ask for the price we paid. It was super clean and tidy, comfy bed and a small TV in room. Toni was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The place is very well signed for to do's and not to do's. Spa and...

We were only here for 1 night, but never the less we received a warm welcome. We found it interesting to see how Dean & Tonie turned this former hostel of the employees of the powerplan , which originates from 1934, into a comfortable lodge. There are 6 rooms (only 1 has an en suite) and 3 bathrooms in the...

My father worked here on the hydro power station in the 80's and lived in the small houses here. The lake is a beautiful place fead from the mountains and is so clear. If you follow the outfall to the power station you will see what a force water can be.

I've stayed here both in the winter and summer months and thoroughly enjoyed my stays. There is some stunning hiking available in the area with views of the surrounding mountains (the Peak Hill hike is a must, as is the nearby arboretum and power station). The proprietors' are very knowledgeable about the area's history and ensured a fantastic stay. Comfortable...
