My friend and I stayed one night here. It was her second time staying. I thought the place was great. The rooms were tidy and modern, the bathrooms clean with good shower pressure and the kitchen spacious and clean. I found Mountain House to be of excellent standard for a backpackers.

We were pretty impressed with this place! It's very well kept and clean. Showers were warm! We stayed for 2 nights and the different people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Very convenient with the store next door and the visitor centre is only 100-200m away so very easy to find out more about Arthur's pass. The...

I stayed in one of their cottages the first time I was there and it was lovely and warm. Great facilities and friendly service. The second I went back, I had a camper van and rental a powered site. The shared facilities ie kitchen - well equipped, bathroom/toilets are clean. The only critique is for the location of the powered...

We stayed in Arthur's Pass for one night. Free wifi. Lovely room. Very welcoming. Close to a pub. We enjoyed our stay and relaxing in the warm room! The arthurs pass general store is busy in the mornings but closes at 5pm so be sure to stock up before you roll into town.

I was here for one night on my way west. I arrived to find a sign on the door telling me to use the payphone across the road to call someone to come and open up to let me check in, which was a bit odd - and a tiny bit annoying because it was pouring with rain and pretty...

I stayed here for a night and found the hostel itself an okay option, but the service really weird. I stayed in a single room, off the common area. The room itself was very clean and big, but unfortunately, shared a wall with the common area that made it very very noisy at night (you felt like you were in...

Thanks for taking the time for some feedback Glad that everything was clean and tidy for you. Just to the point about use of the facilities after check out time, yes it's quite true, we take the attitude that after 10am use of the facilities is at the discretion of the staff. What that really means is that once we've...

this was a great hostel, and our first night in nz so were very happy with the standard set. great room, clean amenities, friendly staff. the only suggestion i could give (not about the hostel but the location) would be to take your own food - limited options for buying up there and not the cheapest. but such a fantastic...

I stopped here for 2 nights (but only really one day) to do some hiking in the area. The Canadian guy at the desk was good fun and welcoming. The kitchen area was clean and you never had to fight for space. The only thing about this place is that the bunk beds are at an awkward height so you...

I love this hostel. The operators are really friendly. The rooms are nice. The kitchens are awesome. The entire place has a clean and friendly feel to it. We have stayed at this hostel twice and and will keep returning when in the area.

Great hostel! We booked a private room with ensuite and got our own cute little cottage. The cottage was new and so nicely done and was super comfortable and cosy. We also had access to a common kitchen and lounge. Definitely recommend staying here!
