Since 1995 we have driven past Grasmere Lodge, usually on our way to Arthurs Pass or over to the West Coast. We often wondered what lay beyond that long inviting driveway? We heard the place was special and finally it was our chance to experience it... Difficult to know what to say. From other reviews it is obviously adored by...

It's hard to know where to start with the accolades for Grasmere, but it has to be with the view as you arrive. Coming over the hill before you turn into the drive you know you are entering a special place. The views of the mountains with the expansive valley in front of you is your welcome to Grasmere. ....

This was one of the most personal experiences we have ever had with the greeting on arrival ,the personal tour of the property, the before dinner snacks and drinks along with the intimate candle lit dinner . You are treated and made feel as tough you're the only people there. This, as well as the luxury of the rooms and the...

We were met by the lodge staff and taken to the lodge where we made bookings for horse riding after lunch and a...

We started our recent 12 day exploration of NZ's south island with two nights at Grasmere. Boy, what a way to kick it off! The views were jaw dropping from Cass View, the food was great at every turn and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We would return in a second if we are lucky enough to...

We booked to stay for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip to the South Island and were just blown-away with the location, views, accommodation, staff, food, wine - everything. So much so that we amended our itinerary to have another couple of nights there at the end of our trip. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We loved our stay at Grasmere Lodge! We spend two nights during our New Zealand honeymoon here, and we'd love to come back when we have more time. The food is 5-star and the staff fun and friendly. We went on a great horseback ride with Heather, and she was such a good guide. There are hiking / running trails...
