Ardross House is a spacious period home where the guest bedrooms and en suites are larger than most. The charming hosts, Michael and Kathryn, give a warm and friendly welcome making you feel very much at home and relaxed. They serve an excellent breakfast and the evening dinners (by arrangement) are an absolute delight. We felt very lucky that they...

Our stay was only for one night to break a longer journey but we were warmly welcomed by Kathryn and Michael Ward who have provided comfortable and quiet accommodation in an historic home built in the 1870's. Our room was large and comfortable and provided an extensive rural outlook. A full breakfast in the lounge was excellent and set us...

Michael and Kathryn who own this huge historical house are perfect hosts. It's a little bit hard to find, but worth it. Our bedroom was spacious, and beautifully funished. Bath is newly updated, and has everything you need. Breakfast is whatever you want, and generous. Michael is a railroad buff, having spent most of his working career in railroad management....

Ardross House is very easy to find - it is right on the main road north out of Christchurch. Surprisingly, it is nestled into the side of the road and the traffic noise is nil. The rooms look out over charming meadows. We breathed in the peace and tranquility. Hosts Michael and Kathryn were friendly and good cooks to. Brekky...

The rooms were spacious with good facilities and with beautiful views across the farmland. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and served a delicious breakfast in the morning using...

Me and my friend were on a cyklingtrip around the Southern Island in December 2010. As it took longer for us to get from Christchurch to Amberley as we had expected one of our hosts (Michael) - allthought he did not know us - came and picked us and the bikes up in his car 15 km south of Amberley....

We stayed at Ardross House in early March 2009. We found it very good. The house is large, old and very elegant. Guest rooms are very quiet, spacious, private and sunny and impeccably clean. Kathryn and Mike, the owners are welcoming and friendly hosts, who also know how to give guests some space to relax and unwind. They gave us...
