we visited here on Dec. 27, 2015, we drove up the Alpine Road to the 1600m level enjoyed a beautiful view of the Dachstein Mountain. When it was time for Lunch we selected the restaurant of the Thuerlwandhuette, it has a large sun terrace, great views with mountain scenery, and good food. This is a fairly ordinary hotel with only basic furnishings, but the staff was friendly, food was good, rooms were not too small. With a thorough update/remodeling it could be much better. Hotel Türlwandhütte is right on the Dachstein cable car at 1,750 m above sea level at the foot of the Dachstein south face.This hotel is with family atmosphere.The room was nice and clean.We had the room with beautifull view on the surroundings.The food was very good with traditional Austrian cuisine.The staff was friendly and helpful.The owners organized overnight trip to...

“We had a group of 16 and all rooms seemed close in desirability, but some had a bathtub. These seemed to be near the front of the hotel. The shower in our room was a bit rickety with part of the track for the door broken. No elevator but none of our group was above the first floor.”
