Balamjuyuc is a unique place where you can actually breathe nature and enjoy the beauty of the ocean from an amazing angle. Simple, cozy, wild in a certain way, truly authentic. If you have the privilige to stay there you will probably lose the concept of time, it did happened to me! Hidden everywhere are some pretty details of the...

We arrived in the wrong month as it was sooo hot and so sweaty. Our cabana was not cleaned very well as there was toothpaste or something all down the mirror and there was mucho sand in the bed. It also smelled of sewer. Other than that, the owner was very nice to us and was very accommodating. We would...

Emiliano "Mephisto" is the best owner of the most beautiful place in the world. The prices are really good and economic. The service is familiar and outstanding. Berta, the lady of the kitchen is really lovely and Frida, the dog, gorgeous. We had the best time of the whole trip in Mazunte. Emiliano does also Temascal-Sessions and the best BBQ...

We stayed here in November for 3 nights. Mixed opinions of the place, but overall poor. Positives The view is amazing!!! Not a lot can beat that! Owner was friendly and kind at times. Negatives The rooms (double ensuite) was smelly and stuffy. We were actually a bit scared of the owner, sometimes he would be nice and other times...

If you want to leave it all behind, this is the place. No frills, just an amazing ocean view, relaxed people, stunning nature and the legendary Emiliano, who knows this area like the back of his hands, is an amazing cook and will tell you fascinating stories. For real lovers of Mexico.

If all you need is a mosquito net and a fan, this is the place to be! Balamjuyuc is at the top of the hill overlooking the beach and from some of the rooms you can literally see the ocean from your bed (I watched the sun rise every day). It's nice being slightly removed from the beach so that...

Balamjuyuc is one of those places that feels like it was built with a lot of love -- and sustained by it. It is nestled on the path towards Punta Cometa, above the "town" of Mazunte, in a peaceful spot on the top of a hill that catches the breeze coming off the ocean and offers views of the moonrise...

This place has a nice laid back vibe. It is very much a hostel, with lots of people coming and going but is very charming and well priced. The views are outstanding and the owner Emiliano is incredibly accommodating. It’s a short (steep) walk down to the beach and only about 20 minutes from the famous Punta Cometa. The bathrooms...

At Balamjuyuc I had the best balcony and view of the ocean I have ever seen. The owner Emiliano and his staff were so welcoming, warm and gracious, he made me feel at home. I cannot wait to come back and stay longer!
