We have stayed here twice now for our anniversary and will again for more that one night continuously next time to enjoy the local area. What you have to remember about the strand house is that it is over 700 years old and to our modern body builds small. However back in the past people were a lot smaller height...

This was the third time I have stayed at this wonderful guest house. Hun and Mary made me very welcome and nothing was too much bother. The welcoming log fire in the lounge get, the peacefulness of the place made for an extremely pleasant stay. Check out Hastings and Rye nearby. I would recommend staying at The Strand House...also pets...

A 700 year old house that Turner sketched nestling in the shadow of an even older Cinq Ports town. Warm bedrooms packed with charm, lots of hot water, guests' sitting room with honestly bar and huge wood burner. Great food, obliging hosts. Would be beautiful in any season.

This is a beautiful B&B with a wonderful homely atmosphere. Although bitterly cold outside the log burner in the guest lounge was warm and welcoming and the bedroom was very comfortable and well appointed with four-poster bed and en-suite shower room. Mary and Hugh were charming hosts and I can thoroughly recommend Hugh's home made biscuits and the wonderful cream...

My Friend and I had a wonderful time at this Beautiful B and B and nothing was too much trouble, Mary couldn't do enough for us and her cream tea was really yummy. We would definitely return but this time for longer as one night was not enough.

Had a lovely stay at this b/b. Had lots of character to it. Sloping floors very low beamed ceilings. A useful lounge area with honesty bar. Although very heavy frost, lovely & warm through the whole house. Breakfast was ample with cereal & fruit etc cooked Sussex breakfast was average. Overall a pleasant stay & would highly recommend.

We had our wedding at Strand House in December. We cannot recommend Strand House enough as the perfect venue for a small and intimate wedding. From the moment we arrived we did not have to worry about anything. Mary, Hugh and the staff at Strand House were so accommodating and catered to the needs of all members of our party...
