Generally, when a hotel receives a mediocre review it's primarily due to the hotel itself, a lack of cleanliness, poor location, poor amenities and maybe if the staff are excellent they might go some way towards redeeming a shoddy establishment, if it's the other way around however it's hard to be positive about it. The Aberlour Hotel is well situated,...

Stayed here for just over a week when i was working in the area. Good points are the friendly staff, modern rooms and the option of a pack lunch rather than breakfast. Bad points would be the very top floor the rooms seemed cold although it was like -5 outside at the time. Also the wifi is not the best...

Stayed for one night in a small double room. Room was newly refurbished and spotless. Downside was only having one cup and one set of towels between the 2 of us staying. Breakfast was tasty and couldn't be faulted. Would stay again but I feel it was a wee bit pricey for what we got.

It wasn't busy with only 2 other tables my husbands scampi was the usual deep fried frozen type and frozen deep fried...

I like staying here, its cheaper that some of the other options and the rooms are lovely. I also like the food, especially the mushroom starter. Also a good choice of local whisky. The only downside is no 02 phone signal, you can use the free wifi to communicate.

We dropped in for lunch at this hotel which has obviously been recently refurbished at some cost and the restaurant was comfortable and looked fresh and new, but the quality of the food was, I am afraid, pretty poor. My meal was the best of the three - deep fried scampi - but the accompanying chips, although clearly home made...

This hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but once inside the welcome, the rooms and the breakfast are very good. We stayed in a family room with two young children which was fine. The staff are very helpful and happy to make recommendations of where to visit and eat.
