We’d visited Passignano, a charming little resort on Lake Trasimeno in central Umbria, but never stayed at Hotel Lido; which is a pity, as the hotel surpassed expectations and was very good value; comfy beds, very welcoming and efficient staff, free parking (even small Italian towns have traffic restrictions) and decent basic breakfast. We were only staying on a B&B...

Terrace supper was a lovely occasion - lighting could be better; the food is very good and large helpings; good wine selection; pet friendly; helpful service and everything explained well; the entrance is not the most welcoming and the restaurant can a appear large and sterile when entering, but worth the effort, not least for the view and the fish.

A 3 star hotel generally in Italy is basic .Lido matches this view. Rooms are very basic . Breakfast is best taken outside in the many coffee bars around .Wifi in the rooms is a 'hit and miss' . A very positive plus is that it is situated in the town of Passignano and near the boat to Isola Maggiore...

Very well located if one would like to go to different places in Toscana and Umbria. A car is needed as trains are slow. Breakfast good but rudimentary. Air conditioning efficient in rooms . Very nice views of the lake during dining. Very good food in restaurant and good service. Wifi free but erratic connections. Some defects in the shower...

We (me and my wife) stayed here for 3 nights. This hotel is a very good hotel, located on the shores of lake Trasimeno, with extraordinary facilities (swimming pool, pontoon restaurant) and consistent breakfast. There is a mixture of relaxation (the sunsets are incredible) and base-point for a tour in Umbria.

Don't go at peak season or at festival times and expect a quiet weekend. We arrived at Hotel Lido on Saturday 25th July at the end of a weeks festival which we enjoyed the medieval parade and the pageantry which we did not know anything about, but had to endure loud outdoor music till 3.30 am and then Sunday night...

Staff couldn't have been more helpful but moving rooms at midnight because the air con tripped out in room 109 meant a move to room 107 at midnight. Unfortunately there was a teenage disco which went on until 2 am next door and the traffic noise was horrendous. The following morning we asked for another room move and went to...

Excellent value for money in an amazing location! For a three star hotel, I could not have asked for anything better. Arriving late in the evening, we were warmly welcomed and explained everything the hotel has to offer. The room was very clean and had the most amazing view over Lake Trasimeno (definitely worth paying extra), plus the area is...

Very helpful and kind staff (some of whom do not have english as a second language), as the hotel was not busy they let us keep the room on the last day (our flight to Bristol was not until the evening). Rooms and view of the lake were excellent, daily cleaned with comfortable beds. The only issue was food which...

The hotel is fairly modern and has a lido and a pier on which the restaurant sits. Lakeside position with half the rooms overlooking the lake. The rooms are small - some might say very small - but are clean and well presented. The bathroom we had was poor - shower (had been requested) was small and the shower cubicle...
