Aeolos is the Greek God of the wind and here the North wind never stops blowing, otherwise the heat would be intolerable. The island is very nice, full of Scandinavians, Greeks and a few other European nationalities. Travelling to Koufonisi is not too difficult for Europeans but long haul travellers it's at least 2 days. Located on top of a...

When arriving to Koufonissi very early in the morning around 01:15 mr.stamatis was waiting for us. After checking in and entering our room we were amazed, we had entered paradise, the view was excellent and the rooms were big. That same day we woke up and ate breakfast, which was amazing, the best breakfast ever offered in a hotel. The...

The thing about Aeolos is that it provides you with the type of luxury that will not disturb the traditional elements that make it authentic. Simple yet stylish, that makes you forget everything once you sit at your spacious veranda. The owner, Stamatis, knows the job and he'll be open to assist you in almost anything you need, without disturbing...

The disturbing thing was that we paid 135 euros per night (it's by far the most expensive hotel in Koufonisia, a very small island with anything special facilities) and we found at least a couple of things to note down. Firstly, the hotel insists that it provides free wireless internet, but you have to... beg for them to turn on...

If you like excellent beaches and a relaxed atmosphere Koufonisia is the place to go and Aeolos is excellent bang for the buck. Don't hesitate just because it's a bit more expensive than other options on the island, it's worth every cent extra you pay. The owners are among the greatest hosts I've ever met with, friendly, service minded and...

We are experienced travelers in Greece, having stayed in dozes of hotels on dozens of islands and we regard this already as an all-time favorite. Family-owned, family-run, everyone on the staff is warm, friendly, and helpful, including the two delightful teen-aged sons. Stan drove us around the island on a tour, and Sophie gave us basil from her garden for...

Aeolos is fantastic place, incredibly clean, roomy, comfortable, stylish. Everywhere you look is just pretty! The island itself is a gem - peaceful and clean with enough nightlife for anybody who is after right balance in life. Authentic Greece meets modern comfort - what a delight!
