We just got back from a nice honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta at the Royal Decameron. From the airport, we took a private air conditioned car. It was nice and quick, and cost 30 US per person. For 20 we could have gotten a taxi and sacrificed the ac, which is what I recommend doing. It was about a 20 minute...

Whoever said this place was not acceptable must be crazy! We loved the place, it was beautiful, clean, colorful, friendly, efficient, I could keep going! We enjoyed the food, we ate at the buffets more than the ala carte restaurants, there was never a time we could not get in to any of them, mind you, we were up early...

My wife and I JUST got back from our vacation at the Royal Decameron in Nuevo Vallarta. We stayed one week from May 19th to the 26th. This was the largest resort we've ever stayed at and were quite impressed. EVERYTHING was great (except for the pesky beach vendors)... The resort was SUPER clean, staff was friendly, the food was...

I traveled to Royal Decameron April 21-28th with my boyfriend and had a great time! Even after reading all the positive reviews on this message board, the resort exceeded most of my expectations. Rooms We requested block 6 ahead of time (the newest block) through e-mail and loved it there. Although a lot of people complain that it's far away...

Don't believe all the BAD reports. This is the 2nd time I have been there and loved it even more the second time round. The Buffet restaurants were excellent and do not all serve the same food, this gives you the choice and they even post the menus everyday on the notice boards so you know what they are serving...

Third time in Nuevo Vallarta this was the best one. The hotel has 6 different buildings (and 6 pools) allowing a sort of "self selection" .. kids area, adults area, drinkers vs. readers. We enjoyed this rather than being cramped with all kinds of people (like in the new RIU). Hotel is a 3 stars so don't expect any luxury...

We arrived May 5th, 07 and stayed a week. The staff were friendly, courteous, and the food was Fantastic. And by the way we stayed in Block 6, and there was no smell of sewage. Security was great, rooms were very clean. The whole experience was a 10 out of 10. I would have no qualms taking my children there,...

We stayed at the Royal Decameron April 14-21 and loved it. This was our second time going there. Two other couples came with us this year and they loved it too! The food was good, the entertainment was good, and we will go back again -- and possibly bring MORE people next time. The bar at block 6 is the...

AMERICANS STAY AWAY! Our trip was bad from the start. They checked us in to an occupied room, scared some poor old Mexican lady. Switched rooms, and it stunk like raw sewage, all of block 6 did. Switched rooms again and it was okay. Did not have a remote for the tv, klenex, or shampoo or conditioner. And soap wasn't...

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Decameron for the first week of May. We went to this resort on our travel agents advice. I also did quite a bit of research before going to Puerto Vallarta and I am happy I did. I will share with you what I learned about this resort and the surrounding area. Food...
