Beautiful gardens, was raining during our stay, but still enjoyable. Pleasant one bedroom unit. Clean and tidy, well appointed kitchen. Lodge has river access to the Tongario River. Beautiful walkway along the river, even on a wet and rainy afternoon. Staff very friendly. Free Wifi.

Love this place - beautiful setting, comfortable well equipped rooms like being in another world tucked away here in amazing gardens what is there not to love. Tackle Shop and Cafe on site is added bonus for wife and river for fishermen in family just at the back door!

We have stayed here in the past but under these managers the whole place seems to have been upgraded. Beautiful grounds and really nice grounds. Aircon on in our room which was helpful when it was almost snowing outside. Overall it is a beautiful place. One tiny gripe though...... The double bed was so soft it was hard to get...

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a cold week, but the room was toasty warm on arrival (thank you the team for having the heat pump on in good time) and we enjoyed all of the facilities very much. A comfortable bed, efficient systems for the kitchenette, heating, shower etc. All immaculately clean and well presented. WiFi worked well...

Its a really cool place, the room is quite tidy and very spacious. Good Amenities available and really close to the town center. The only negative was that there is no heater in the room which could be an improvement opportunity for them.

We booked Creel Lodge Motel for a winter stay, audit was very cold both outside and inside the lodge itself. The accommodation was adequate for our one nights stay. The grounds were well kept with good parking.

A perfectly enchanting self contained place. Clean and comfortable and complete. The grounds and gardens are lovely and restful. The facility and location are fantastic. You don't have to be a fisherman to love this place. Lots of walking just out the gate. I bet in summer you can hear the river from your room. We were there in the...

Creel Lodge is a very comfortable motel. The property is located east of SH1 (most of Turangi is to the West), though the town is very small so this isn't a big deal. The property is far enough from SH1 that there is no road noise. The motel is set in large park-like grounds. The rooms are enormous, with large...

My wife and I really liked the layout of the lodges. We had already spent time at a B&B for two nights so it was nice to get away where we were kind of on our own, could cook our own food and just hang out. Pros: Privacy, plenty of it. Well kept cabin and very pretty area. Perfect spot...

After many years of driving from Wellington to Auckland we have finally found the perfect spot!! Spacious, clean, good kitchen & set in lovely gardens. A short walk takes you to the river, this is a fishing lodge, with it's own tackle shop & cafe. I would think this would be a great place to have family gatherings, bbq &...
