I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The hostel is set in the mountains with a free swimming pool and a selection of farm animals to feed. The staff (Dave) and his dog Max were super friendly and helpful and always around if you had a problem. The rooms and bathrooms are standard hostel rooms -...

I had an awesome one night stay here. Hostel is kept clean and tidy and has sociable chill out areas. Right opposite black water rafting centre. There are lots of farm animals around the grounds including six gorgeous tiny piglets (I'm wishfully hoping not for eating) which were highly entertaining to watch. Receptionist Stephanie is a breath of fresh air...

We stayed here one night in our campervan, all facilities including the pool was great. The girl in the reception was both informative and enthusiastic. 38$ is good value for money compared to other holidayparks in the area

Juno Hall is in a beautiful spot just outside of Waitomo, 15-20 mins easy walk from the village. The views are stunning as are the (freezing cold) pool and hammocks. The entire hostel was dated but clean with a well appointed kitchen and reasonable showers. An unusually comfortable and supportive mattress in the dorm room I stayed in. Possibly one...

The cutest little place, great decorations, comfy chairs and lots of social space. Super friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. We especially loved little max the dog. We turned up wanting to camp for 2 nights and they were able to accommodate us easily. Shared bathrooms are very clean and you never have to wait for a...

I rode the bus into town and had no way to get to the hostel. It was also pouring rain! I was told by the ladies at the cafe that if I gave them a call they would pick me up. I did and the super cheery and friendly girl who works the front desk drove down the rode to...

A lovely little place to stay for a few nights, at the centre of numerous activity points its in a key location to the activities and excursions on offer. The man who runs it is a great character and helped us with onwards planning and trip bookings. Within walking distance to see the glowworms and the caves structures. Also had...

Stephanie went above and beyond to make me feel welcome upon arrival, even picking me up where I was dropped off by my intercity and being willing to take me the following morning. The hostel is cosy and peaceful, a perfect base for all of the waitomo activities on offer! Highly recommend this hostel, great value for money too!

I stayed at the hostel for one night to do the Legendary Black Water Rafting the following day. For this purpose, the hostel is the perfect spot to stay, as it is just across the street. The hostel is clean and in a nice old-fashioned style. The man behind the reception that welcomed me was super friendly and funny and...
