Jan and Garry were really welcoming and very friendly and helpful. We were absolutely thrilled to find that we could cook for ourselves after days of eating out/hotel food. Lots of ideas given by Jan whilst we were there and informing us of the best way to go round the peninsula if we wanted to do this or that. Chalet...

Upon arrival, we knew we would like this place immediately. Before checking us in, Jan greeted us and asked all about our day - where we had been (Coramandel), where we were going (Waitomo), what we were interested in seeing in Pauanui and where we might like to have dinner. She provided us with brochures and information that she had...

This is a super venue for an authentic Kiwi experience of a casual, relaxing beach holiday. Everything you could possibly need is laid on at a very reasonable price in an idyllic setting. The stunning natural beauty of the surrounding estuary, beach and countryside, the lush gardens where you will see native fantails and tuis flitting from branch to branch...

I'm not sure the term 'motor lodge' does this place justice. It is a wonderful place and the owners, Garry and Jan, have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. They have free wifi, a free laundry, novels, bikes, tennis rackets, golf clubs plus lovely tennis courts and swimming pool. The owners are proactive in giving you information on...

We stayed our last night in New Zealand here. Our room was pleasant and clean and it was nice to have a separate bedroom from the kitchen and living area with a door. The exceptional thing about this hotel are the owners. Our flight didn't leave from Auckland until 10:45 PM. We had to check out by 10:00 AM, but...

We spent a weekend, two nights, at this motel and found it very pleasant. It is very clean, has all the ingredients expected in an NZ motel. The units are Lockwood cottages split into two or three units. We were not disturbed by noise at any time and found the one bed unit roomy and comfortable. The owners, who are...

The site is located on a gentle slope with a comparatively small number of units most facing a large grassed area. The cabins are furnished with newish items of furniture, carpets are spotless and the shower/toilet is large and sensibly laid out. Shopping for essentials is but a few paces away in the town centre. During our time there the...

The new owners of Pauanui Pines are very friendly while still being totally professional. The units are like mini-suites dotted amongst the greenery for privacy. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with kitchenette, ideal for our family of four. Al fresco dining! Our girls loved the pool and the tennis court was being well-used. It's just a short...

Lovely place to stay, I always choose the pines when in Paunui. Lovely owners, accommodation is quiet and clean, quaint place to stay. Can take a walk through the town to the beach. Shops just across the road, can cook a meal back in your room if you like.

We recently stayed at Pauanui Pines. We had a great stay, very handy to the shopping area which was across the road. Enjoyed cycling on the many walkways aroung Pauanui. Went over on the ferry to Tairua ($5 return). Played tennis on the tennis court and even had a dip in the pool , divine ! Recommend playing mini golf...
