We stayed in one of the new stand alone cabins for a weekend getaway. It was low key check-in, check-out. We had total privacy, had great neighbors and shared some soup. Cabin was really great, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful bathrooms and views from your deck. Paths to garbage and wood pile could have been better cleared. Really great base camp...

A groups of friends spent the end of January at this gem. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The price is right. We rented the middle cabin. The snowshoeing was awesome, hiking was scenic, and you are just outside of Algonquin Park. We have kayaked to Ragged Falls many times and passed this gem. Sauna works great, make sure...

I stayed in the Black-Capped Chickadee Cabin for 2 nights early March. Still lots of snow. We stayed last year as well, and wanted another quiet weekend away. The cabins have a comfy queen bed + a futon (but it would be tight to fit 4 friends, easier for parents + kids). Built fires, cooked nice meals. Drove in to...

This place was lovely. Clean. Great location. Greeted by the owner who had allowed me to book a single night last minute (ratehr than the two nigh minimum). The kitched was lovely and well equipped and the cozy common loft area are very cute and clean despite the vitage trappings. My only issue was that the bed was not very...

Amazing place. So family friendly, charming, great owners, cozy, etc. It's definitely a place we would return to and I've already recommended it to others over and over. The only tiny suggestion I would have is that they create a drying rack for wet stuff. We knew what we were getting into when we went up there in February with...

My husband and I have been looking for this kind of place near Algonquin. We have stayed at Wolf Den in the past, but these new eco lodges are just the right mix of luxury and rustic. They are clean, very well-stocked, and just gorgeous. I stayed two nights with my husband in a smaller cabin and then two nights...

We stayed at the Wolf Den for two nights in January, so we experienced it in winter season. The moment I walked into this place I knew I'll love it. We were greeted by the owners who definitely do a great job at managing this hostel. They are extremely welcoming and want you to have the best stay possible. We...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Wolf Den Sept 21st - Sept 23rd. This is a great place to stay, it is located just outside the park and has all you need to enjoy the great outdoors with the comfort of home. Upon arrival we were personally greeted and made to feel very welcomed. We stayed in a bunkhouse...

We just returned from our first visit to the Wolf Den. We stayed in "Nana and Jack's " cabin which is made of huge squared timbered logs. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Clean, charming interior of the cabin, excellent deck for relaxing and refreshing. A stroll down to the river for a paddle. Excellent! Jen and Jacques were exceptionally helpful...

This is a great hostel for exploring Algonquin (you'll almost certainly need a car) with excellent facilities. My girlfriend and I stayed in a private room in the main building - it was small and could do with better pillows, but the highlight and emphasis of this hostel is the amazing communal areas. The kitchen is easily the best I've...

“If you have a dog or two - as I do - there are several cabins that are available for you! They are very clean - well maintained - and DO NOT smell like an animal hotel. As a courtesy, I always bring dog blankets to cover the beds so that the dogs can sleep but NOT contribute to animal odors in the cabins when I am gone~ ”
