We had a family room booked online and turned up in the early evening after a long day on the hill. Friendly staff welcomed us and talked us through the details. Our family room was warm, very tidy and clean with comfy beds, towels and linen provided. Good job. The majority of other fellow hostelers were friendly and happy to... More

Hostel is about 3kilometers from the main road but it didn't feel that long to walk as the road is surrounded by beautiful nature. There are plenty of nice daywalks around the hostel. The staff was quite helpfull when asked about paths etc. Overall hostel is clean and nice, but a bit gloomy. I got the impression hostel is more... More

Thank goodness this hostel restored some of my faith in the Scottish Youth Hostels. The place is well set up with clean rooms and the mattresses go with covers on them albeit being a bit narrow. Helpful staff and the beer still over priced f a bottle which is a shame. Go there and you will be fine. Nothing major... More

We have stayed in hostels in many different countries. Others could learn well from the SYHA example of cleanliness we have experienced. Glencoe is no exception. It was very busy when we stayed so we had bunks in the separate male/female dorms. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff were great. There was secure storage for our bikes. In... More

new to Hostels and this one was our first of four we stayed in on trip around Scotland, all the rest were independent hostels. NOt too bad, staff could have been friendlier and not very informative, looked bored and fed up !! Our room was for 4-- beds were comfortable, sheets clean and warm. Bathrooms were always clean (they close down the hostel daily in the afternoon for cleaning) Kitchen and eating area were GREAT! So much room and places to cook. There was also a quiet reading area to use if needed. Only complaints... WiFi was soooooo unpredictable (no biggie). But... More

I stayed here when walking the west highland way. It is about 2 miles from glencoe village so not ideal if you have no transport and need to get into the village. The clachaig is a 10 minute walk. Stayed here for three nights in Jube 2016. Great youth hostel, with comfy rooms, decent breakfast and with very friendly and helpful staff who know the local walks. Good location a short walk from the inn. Access to the hostel by car from Clachaig Inn or from Glencoe village

This hostel is located well away from busy, noisy roads along a pretty tree-lined road beyond Glencoe village. It's not too far to the Clachaig Inn which has good pub food and atmosphere in the evenings. The hostel building itself is fairly basic but well maintained, with a car park that's not quite big enough if the hostel is full,... More

The youth hostel is popular with walkers, climbers and families as it offers budget multi-share accommodation but also private family friendly rooms too. Glencoe Youth Hostel has a large open plan kitchen/ dining room with ample cooking facilities and dining tables. Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy.
