Perched on the top of a hill, Montone - an ancient walled town - provides amazing views from the moment you park your car (and before) The hotel is situated near enough to the edge that you can get great views over the area if you are lucky enough to get a room with the right view.

On a recent stay in the Montone area we chose the restaurant in Hotel Fortebraccio to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday - a quiet family dinner was transformed into a really special occasion by the amazing staff and equally amazing food. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so special - the service was fantastic, as was...

Excellent Hotel where Cristina (the boss) has a good overview of the hotel. The kitchen of the restaurant is fair. Do not hesitate to ask for white truffel dishes, even if it s not on the menu. You ll be surprised on what they can prepare. The owners are travellers themselves and know what to offer their guests.

We wanted to visit Umbria for the second time and booked some night in the Hotel Fortebraccio. We got a nice room on the upper floor that shared a big terrace with the neighbouring rooms. The view of the valley and the hills was breathtaking. We were there in September and it was quite cool and windy so you couldn't...

The newly renovated contemporary hotel Fortebraccio is situated just outside of the medieval wall that surrounds the enchanting Village of Montone in Perugia district, a village rich of history and tradition. The view from the hotel is an enchanting and spectacular display of the Umbrian country side. The hotel is just a few kilometers from the main highway E45 which allows you to get to Assisi, Perugia, Arezzo, and the Trasimeno Lake. We are also close to two of the biggest High Tiber cities, Citta` di Castello and San. Sepolcro, where you can have the pleasure of viewing the works of art created by masters Burri and Piero della Francesca . ... more   less
