Small hotel in a great location a few steps from the main drag and a short walk from the private-access beach.

For 130 euro per night we got a spacious air-conditioned room with two balconies and a lovely bathroom, all this with a reasonable breakfast included.

The hotel is kept in spotless condition and is quite comfortable. It has an elevator, but we chose the stairs, partly to look at the potted plants on the stair landings. The entire hotel has a comfortable air of home, and the staff is pleasant and eager to please without being cloying.

This place really exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and comfort! We were 4 people, split into 2 rooms which had a sort of door in the hallway allowing us to have a private and semi-adjoined room situation. Our patios were huge, complete with chairs and a table and an awning for shade if we wanted, and the sea (visible from our patios), is just a block from the hotel. We were sad to have only planned to spend one night there en route from the Amalfi to Rome (and that being April it wasn't quite warm enough to go to the beach yet). This place was clean, comfortable, very well kept-up, up to date, and conveniently located. There's honestly nothing more we could have asked for. We won't hesitate to stay here again!

You can get here easily without a car by taking the train to Forli-Sperlonga and catching a bus or Taxi to the hotel (about 12 minutes by car). The bus drops you off more or less in front of the hotel and the older historic part of the city is an easy walk away (why spend extra to sleep in the historic part when you can walk there from a place like this in 3 minutes?!).

Booked last minute so I think we got the last room closest to reception on ground floor and bed was against the hallway wall so a bit loud - I recommend ear plugs. No view from our room but I think others have a view.

Great location in the new town very close walk to the beautiful old town (they also provide a shuttle if you are not keen to walk the steps up, it's a bit of a climb but there is always an Aperol Spritz at the top! :)

Parking - they have parking but insist on keeping your car key in case they need to move your car. I was uncomfortable with this if I'm honest. When we took our rental car the final morning it was reversed against the wall very lucky there was no scratch.

Wifi is very good!
Did not have breakfast.

Air Con - not good unable to adjust the temperature and did not seem to cool the room at all. Only the room key works in the slot so you cannot leave it on when you leave to come back to a cool room.

They have private beach umbrellas and loungers for access which were excellent, you get a slip providing you access.

Checking in - they asked to keep our passports with them and come back for 10 minutes to take details, I'm a little uncomfortable leaving my passport out of my sight, so this surprised me, maybe just me!

Overall I would be very happy to stay in Mayor again the staff were very friendly but would try request a room away from reception/ground floor.

Had a couple of extra days between Rome and Sorrento and decided to try the beach area of Sperlonga. Stayed at the Hotel Mayor and could not of been happier. Room was very clean , balcony was great and their breakfast buffet was perfect for what we wanted. The staff were easy to talk to, the daytime staff understood English which was a great perk. Their private area on the beach was easy to get to and close to restaurants for lunch. Loved it enough to stay another night.

Its a good, clean property catering to basic needs of Bed & Breakfast. Good location, the beach is 2 minutes walk. I could not eat my breakfast as I was to catch a bus early. Bath linen were a disappointment. They were clean but not Turkish Towel, A good bed and breakfast joint.

This is a very unpretentious little hotel, well situated very close to the seafront. The rooms are spotless if a little on the small side but all rooms we stayed in (we were a group of 9) had spacious balconies and the bathrooms were very well appointed with excellent showers etc.
The management and staff were absolutely delightful - nothing was too much trouble. When we brought in some stray tourists off the street who were looking for an Internet cafe and couldn't find one, they were happy to let them use the Internet for free which we thought was over and above the call of duty.
Breakfast was fine - we didn't have evening meals.
Highly recommended for the price.

Very well located, clean, decent breakfast, quiet (at least in June) just perfect for us - family with 3 children. Sperlonga is very picturesque, with great sandy beach. But dont expect crazy nigh life etc. It is not that kind of place.

We came a bit off season and got a super clean hotel with good breakfast for a great price. Good service although the English speaking had to be done with only one of the staff. French worked better.
A bit noisy from other rooms. Great service in helping with the free parking. But remember that this is a 3 Star hotel.
