The location was beautiful; quiet and pretty. A ten minute walk from the centre of the village, the Coral is a family run hotel and they are very friendly and happy to help. Maria speaks perfect English. The breakfast was continental and the mountain tea was really tasty. The room was clean and comfortable, although the bed was harder than... More

great hotel, couldn't believe this is only got a 2 star rating as some of the newer rooms are up to 5 star standards! spent two nights here and loved it. Maria is lovely and couldn't have asked for a nicer lady to be greeted with. Breakfast is all homemade, buffet basics but they made their own marmalades and chocolate... More

Great location 5 mins walk from the hubbub of the busy bay. Very welcoming hosts. A range of homemade foods for breakfast. Very clean and we would stay here again. The pool was well maintained and had plenty of sunbeds and shades. There was also a grass area shaded by trees.

The pizza we got here was really good and is big in size. Maybe a little bit too big for me haha. Also the staff was really friendly and he even tried to say few things in Dutch. Good service and not too expensive. I would definitely eat here again.

My wife and I spent 6 nights at the Hotel Coral in June. Our stay coincided with the Matala Beach Festival an event we also thoroughly enjoyed. It was nice to have a bolthole a little away from the festival itself for a bit of peace when needed. Our room was perfectly adequate and because we booked directly with the... More

Absolutely love the owners!!! We did expect a bigger room, and were surprised to have to pay extra for the use of the refrigerator and air conditioning. But: we didn't spent that much time in the room anyways. The rooms and pool were regularly cleaned, the breakfast was more then sufficient for us, and the staff will go the extra... More

This hotel is in a great location about 10 mins walk from the centre of matala. It's very clean and has the best air con I've ever experienced in any hotel. The beds are comfortable, the pool area is good and the breakfast is lovely. The manager Maria is very nice too No complaints.

this small hotel is everything you could want and more if you're visiting Matala. The hotel is just a short walk into the village which was ideal as we wanted to visit the festival but not be in the middle of it. It has beautiful, modern air conditioned rooms, some of which are a little row of bungalows with their... More

This hotel is great value and very welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable with towels and bedding changed regularly. Breakfast is a bit German for my tastes but great value and you can have as much as you like. We went twice to the onsite pizza restaurant, and it was good quality. But for a traditional Greek meal it... More
