Stayed here one night before picking up our boat at the Le Boat dock in Castelnaudary. Owner/operators were warm and welcoming and immediately made us feel at home. Our room was simple, a comfortable queen bed, shower with good water pressure and a separate W/C. Our room had a small window that overlooked a back garden - nothing spectacular -...

We stayed in this hotel as there were not a lot available in Castelnaudary when we booked. The rooms were old and the hotel needs some refurbishment but the price reflected this. The host was very helpful and nothing was a problem. The hotel was situated beside the canal and just down the road from the town.

Ideally located for the canal du midi and within easy walking distance of the town and local restaurants. Everything about the plce can be described as adequate. Main thing we didn't like was that the handles have been removed from the bedroom windows to stop them being opened so there is no fresh air into the room

I stayed one night at this lovely hotel located on the Canal du Midi. I had a large, comfortable room that overlooked the canal. There was a large festival going on down the street until 3 am, but I knew about it and rather enjoyed the energy and festivities - and the manager provided some earplugs but they didn't seem...

We stayed one night before collecting Le Boat at the start of our trip. The manager resolved our thirst with beers on arrival in a dry spot in the dining area overlooking the canal as it was pouring outside. He also enabled further refreshment and stayed chatting when we returned from dinner as other establishments we searched for a bar...

Booked for one night whilst touring the area. The hotel is basic but offers some activities and is well located for exploring the canal and the town. Breakfast was not great and rather expensive for what we had. As with many French hotels, there was a TV but no kettle or fridge in the room. There is a coffee machine...

As the name implies, the hotel backs on to the canal a short distance before the canal turns towards the canal harbor. It s fairly easy to find, although the GPS may suggest the hotel entry is a couple of hundred meters further from the town than it is. The town is quite small, so which the Hotel is a...

We stayed in the Hotel du Canal one night one our drive through France. It is a simple but clean and comfortable family-run hotel. We were welcomed at the front desk when we arrived and though our room was not spacious, it was fine for the two of us. After a walk along the canal just outside the hotel, we...

We booked a double room at Hotel du Canal for one night prior to commencing our boating trip with Le Boat and was very disappointed. The hotel was shabby, the entrance overgrown and untidy, the reception staff member we encountered at check-in was grumpy and unfriendly, the room was like a hospital room and the breakfast ordinary. This was by...

Booked this after reading other reviews. When got there, first impressions were-its a bit dated and tired looking. We were just given our key, but no information was given to us so we didnt know if there was breakfast or a restaurant or bar, so, we went out.The room was cramped and obviously intended for a family as had another...
