I was here in July 2022 as part of the Muay Thai Vacations training vacation and had such a great stay. Tucked away and fairly secluded, it was a great place to train at and relax all at the same time. Service and food provided was excellent. Would recommend it to anybody who wants a place to stay in, hang out at, or even workout at.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Junges Edge. Great welcoming, love the bungalows, amazing pool and amenities. Just outside of Guiones super chill place to stay and great price! We will definitlely come back!
Jungles Edge feels like old Nosara with a relaxed vibe, friendly service, and simple but great rooms. The bed is super comfy and the AC cranks. Perfect spot to work out, crash after surfing or just explore. Highly recommended. Great coffee too.
I adored my stay at Jungle’s Edge. The accommodations were clean and I loved staying in the Bungalows and being “outside” all the time! The owners are wonderful people and the staff is above and beyond! I caught a cold during my stay and they blessed me with a ginger shot. I would highly recommend
Thought it was too good to be true. Turns out I was wrong! Might just be the most delicious week of food I have ever had! Amenities were killer and Dave and his team were some of the most helpful folks I've spoken too. They even let me practice my broken Spanish ; ) . Great clean salt water pool, I stayed in one of the jungle huts and despite no AC I did great! would reccomend bring ear plugs for those who dont like howler monkeys! didn't get bitten once either.
I stayed here as part of a group for Muay Thai Vacations in mid-January. Jungle's Edge is by far one of the most pleasant places I've stayed. Dave and the staff are friendly, helpful, and service oriented. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The food is delicious and there was a huge variety. I stayed in the bungalows and they have a rustic, camping vibe but are.cleaned daily and very comfortable. The training area is spacious with a nice view. It's only a short walk to town or the beach. Overall I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in this part of Costa Rica. Thanks for a great time!
Overall, my husband and I had a great experience. What struck us the most was how helpful every staff members were, from the owners to Eric and Chanil at the front desk! They assisted us for transport and made sure we have a romantic ambiance for Valentine’s day. The food is perfecto, everything is fresh from the garden! The passionfruit pie is from now on my new favorite desert!!!!!
Let me start at the beginning…when I saw Sean Fagan’s Muay Thai Retreat for the first time, I thought, is this TOO good to be true?? Pushing oneself through extreme physical challenges is one of the best ways to build mental toughness. I absolutely LOVE to push myself outside of my comfort zone as that’s where ALLLL of the growth happens! Before the trip, I decided to take on a Muay Thai “smoker” (an exhibition fight w/ headgear & shin guards) later this year, and I knew I needed something extreme to get me going. Thanks to Sean Fagan, his wife (she runs the yoga classes & they are FANTASTIC), and his INCREDIBLE coaching team - Jake, Brynn - (who alllll provide AS MUCH value as Sean himself). I learned more in 6 days than I had in the last FIVE YEARS!! :) Then, there are the accommodations…Jungle’s Edge is hands down one of the best resorts around!! Great food, awesome vibe, amazing service… I was SO PUMPED to be welcomed into an AMAZING community that was fully committed to a week-long conditioning of body, mind, and spirit - each day was carefully balanced between Muay Thai workouts & Yoga sessions. The schedule is VERY well-intentioned…Sean and his team clearly know the importance of discipline and consistency when training, and don’t take ANY shortcuts! They’ve also built in a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu option, which I had never done, but STOKED that I could try!! Ultimately, this whole thing is a HUGE two thumbs up; getting to train with pros on the beach in Costa Rica had always been on my bucket list…THANK YOU!!!…
Had a great stay at Jungles Edge this past January. Dave (the owner) was available for assistance or questions any time I had them and the rest of the staff was helpful and accommodating. The glamping hut I stayed in was very cozy and at night very cool, I never wished I had ac access. The cleaning crew came everyday and did a great job. I especially appreciated the consistently fresh towels. The internet and data is a bit spotty but there are places close by to go to if you need it.
I just came back from Nosara and I miss my stay at Jungles Edge already. The property is perfect for someone who's looking to disconnect from the world, have little online interactions, and just focus on themselves and their physical and mental wellbeing. The staff is super friendly and extremely discreet, you notice their presence only because your room is spotless every morning, breakfast, lunch and dinner are ready on time, and they are ready to assist with any requests. Dave is an awesome host, very laid back and friendly, someone you can have a beer or a deep conversation with. Oh, and the food. I won't even try to describe it, you have to try it to understand. Overall, I could not have asked for a better first vacation since the beginning of the pandemic. It was a celebration of life and I'm glad I was able to do it at Jungles Edge. I'll be back soon, guaranteed.…
