We loved this hotel. The restaurant is great as well. My family and I stayed for nearly a week. We woke each morning to the noise of the howler monkeys. The hotel has a nice pool which is refreshing after spending time at the beach.

Room was very clean, comfortable, large! and affordable for Nosara. No a/c, but didn't miss it with screened windows open and fans on. Restaurant and bar onsite - very good food! Although a bit expensive, which is to be expected for Nosara.

The gilded iguana was a great place to visit Costa Rica and enjoy it's jungles, be close to the beach and have a laid-back atmosphere. If nosara had historical sites to go to, the gilded iguana would be one of them, being built in the early 70s.

We stayed for 10 nights in January and never did get a good night of sleep during our stay. We stayed in unit 4 where we had stayed in years past. Since our stay years ago this unit has seen little, if anything, in terms of upkeep and maintenance. The slats are loose and some fall out of the windows...

We had a room over the restaurant (#6), not at all noisy at night. The windows do not have glass (just wire mesh) and there is no air conditioning, but we had a nice breeze and our room temp was good. We had a coffee pot and a fridge which was great for food and drinks. We had a big...

We stayed four nights here and it was a great location for the beach, which was just a five-minute walk away. The room was large with a balcony and the pool area was really relaxing with lovely trees and hammocks nearby. The restaurant served really nice cocktails and seafood pasta. Service wasn't great and we weren't welcomed with much information...

I'm at a loss seeing all the other positive reviews of this Hotel - normally our impressions are bang on with Tripadvisor ratings, but in this case I feel like we were staying at a different hotel! On the positive side, the grounds are gorgeous, and the rooms were very nice and clean for the price. The pool area was...

Situated just a short stroll from the quiet end of the beach. Easy to rent surfboards from the shop outside and can still walk into town. Didn't find the staff very helpful. The main issue I had here was the resident dog. A lovely quiet dog lazing in the sunshine by day, but when the sun goes down he barks...

Don't come to Nosara if you expect luxe. This is a place of beautiful beaches, warm people and great surf breaks. No paved roads and little traffic. The Gilded Iguana is an easy 5 minute walk to spectacular Playa Guiones. The grounds are peaceful, the hammocks perfect for siestas, and the fresh water pool a respire from sand and waves....

Very nice place, averaged pricing, really good food. The ceviche was great, casado plates were amazing and all the other fish dishes were really good too. They are limited on non seafood dishes. Many specials to choose from daily. Friendly and clean. Loved it
