Stayed at Lavris (Aelius) for 10 nights. The hotel is in a good location, it’s about a 10 minute walk from a town and the beach which has lots of Greek restaurants and one located next door to Lavris too. When we first arrived we didn’t bring our papers with us for confirmation of our Hotel booking which appeared to be an issue and we had to email this over to the hotel before we could check in. The hotel is on the flight path (wasn’t an issue for us but was constant). The hotel it’s self is gorgeous, the bar is always serving snacks from 11am till 6pm with fresh made pizzas. All inclusive was till 11pm and we were charged when we left the hotel for a bottle of water as it was passed 11pm which I think is a bit of a joke when your paying the price we paid and with it only being water. The food was very much the same everynight, wasn’t much of a variety after a few days of eating there. Another downfall is the pictures of the hotel online are quite misleading. the pictures included show a new hotel which is apparently separate to Aelius even with it being in the same complex and use the same facilities just under another hotel within Lavris. We were kicked out the pool at the new part and told this is a separate hotel which we aren’t to use even when they use our facilities in Aelius. We used that pool one time as there was no room at the other 2 pools and this pool was always empty. For the other two pools there wasn’t enough beds and you have to be up early to get some. Overall I had a nice holiday at Lavris and all the staff were lovely just a few downfalls for the price we paid :)…
Excellent hotel and especially the staff we can’t thank them enough for making our stay a very enjoyable experience, the restaurant staff work extremely hard to make sure you are served and well looked after, the bar staff are very friendly and welcoming but most of all make sure you are topped up!! The well-being girls made us very relaxed myself and my wife both took advantage of the free 15mins plus a great back and leg massage the wife having a facial. The overall experience was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, the hotel is suitable for families, couples and singles with a great location to the beach being minutes away. Thanks you all at Lavris hotel.
Our stay at lavris was lovely very peaceful and relaxing . Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us . The rooms are really nice & clean. Decent size swimming pool & there’s food until all hours. Definitely be returning.
Day three of 14 so far all good food good lots of choices and attentive service staff happy I’m happy to help Paul nice quiet area however do you get down before 9 am to get your sunbed there is planes fly over the hotel but not too frequent would possibly come back again so far
Second time at the Lavris/Aelius and it was even more fantastic than the first. All the front desk staff are so friendly and professional. Especially Marina who was outstanding when we had a small issue with our room and made our stay even more special. Rooms are very clean, spacious and have a lovely large firm bed. We loved the high-quality robes that came with our room. Restaurant food was lovely lots of choice from fresh fruit, fish, salads to steaks and meat of every description including traditional Greek dishes. You will not be stuck for choice and the staff work very hard making sure you have everything you need. If you miss a meal there is a lovely spread of snacks in the pool bar which include filled rolls, pizza, hot dogs and fresh fruit. There were plenty of sun loungers around the pools so never a problem finding somewhere to soak up the sun The beach is an easy 10 mins walk from the hotel as are the bars and restaurants. The beach itself is a small sandy beach with very shallow water so perfect for people with young children. It was not crowded and there are water sports jet ski's etc. Above all what makes this hotel special is the customer service and attention to detail.…
I had an amazing time in spa with Marilena, highly recommend her. Maybe the price is not low, but the massage was incredible. Also im a cafe late lover (or worst case cafe with milk) but from the machine, and in the hotel store it was not the best one. Sadly :( i did not tried cafe late from the bar, because it was quite expensive, 3.5 euro at the time. And when you paid as all inclusive, you don't want to pay extra. Anyways they served tasty coffee with milk in the morning 😊. And the beer is also tasty. Food/snacks tasty as well 😋
We stayed here as a family of 5 In May for 8 Nights, we arrived late at night and was welcomed at reception with cooled water, refreshing face towels and cool meat snack which was a lovely touch. Throughout the holiday the staff made us feel welcomed and were always willing to help and give you a little Greek lesson! There is a la carte restaurant which seemed lovely however limited availability so if you wanted to try this I would recommend booking for your break as soon as you arrive. The main restaurant was ok, some nights of food better than others. During our stay there was only entertainment for 2 of our 8 nights, this was live music night and a Greek night, both of these were enjoyable. We celebrated a birthday while we were away which the staff were very happy to organise and decorate a table for us. The pool was always lovely and clean, there is a sign up to say no reserving sun beds, however many people did which just meant throughout the afternoon there was less availability. There is a mini bus service free of charge which runs to the beach and back, which is helpful when it is very warm, however only a 15 minute walk to the beach. This is mostly flat however a little bit uphill on the way from the beach to the hotel.…
We had wonderful stay, everything was on top, excellent service. The food was very tasty and the variety was very good. We loved Cretan thematic restaurant for breakfast and dinner, everything was Cretan cuisine. The hotel has great location, also you can rent a car in the hotel, very good prices comparing with around rent a car. Great value for money
Just had a week at this lovely hotel. Friendly helpful staff and sooooo clean. Im afraid of creepy crawlies and never saw one !! The food can be a bit repetitive as I dont eat meat, but substantial and the sweets are scrumptious. I must mention the spa, where I had a lovely body scrub and facial. I came out glowing :) Marilena certainly knows her stuff. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing week away..
Absolutely lovely place to stay. The people, food and the scenery, (especially the sunsets)10/10. Definitely will be back again to try out the Census since I’ve already Aeolus. Loved watching the folklore performance and finding out more about Cretan culture as well as trying the food from the buffet and the à la carte.
