This hotel is amazing place and all my family and friends enjoyed it! All staff are very pleasant and very friendly. Big like to mr. ilias, best chief and can I definetely say he is the amazing cook. Not to forget the ladies from reception desk, Ioana and Elena for their exceptional and smoothless check in and out. Always have a nice smile on their face everytime when you walk around them. Special thanks to Maria for her " bunatate si ospitalitate ca la mama acasa " . For me is second time when I come at Diogenis Blue Palace. Next year I will be again here for sure! Kalispera!

The location of this hotel couldn’t be better- 25 steps to the beach and near all the tavernas and shops. The reception staff are really helpful. Rooms clean but really could do with an upgrade. We were all inclusive and we so disappointed with this. We had spent a couple of nights in 2019 in this hotel and the food was amazing. Sadly this time it was a huge let down. Very repetitive same things for lunch and dinner- pasta, chips, potatoes, meat dish, fish dish, some veg. Some salad selections a lot of it rehashed from left overs. Puddings poor some chocolate sponge, a jelly, bananas and grapes. Very hard if you are a vegetarian. The chef was around on some occasions but did not chat to guests, mainly staffed with young hardworking girls. The pizza and steak nights mentioned in other reviews were non existent and we were not offered a la carte. Breakfast one day we had not bread for toast, toaster did not work properly and one lunch time there was hardly any food left mid service. No snacks offered, very limited selection of alcoholic drinks. Soft drinks like apple and orange juice were full of sugar and not fruit juice. We arrived very late in the evening and there was no water in our room to drink and we were shown to the restaurant and handed a plates of food that had been sitting in unrefrigerated on a table. Nice pool area but damaged tiles in places. Hotel advises you not to leave towels on sun beds they will be removed, sadly they did not do this and all sun beds were taken by the “towels “ early doors. We ate out 4 nights at lovely local tavernas and spent our time at the beach. We did enjoy our holiday but won’t be back to this hotel and really don’t understand why it gets the 4 stars it does, more like a 2 star hotel. If you go looking for lovely Cretan food here you will be disappointed.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were impressed by the Chef Illias. We had two a la carte meals of seafood which were excellent. The buffet also included great seafood which is a favourite of ours

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel , the room we were in overlooked the pool area which was quite pleasant unfortunately the bathroom was small outdated and had a sewerage smell , the shower was so small (I am only 5ft 3in) that I stood in it to get wet and then stood outside to lather myself. The food, there is only one thing to say and that is awful , it didn't matter what time you went to eat the food was always cold not even tepid. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.
