Stayed one night in self contained campervan. To get the best pitches try to arrive early. There is running water and flushing toilets but no lights at night. The setting is spectacular with glaciers in valleys above the campsite. It is ideally located for undertaking hikes in the area. you either self register and pay with cash or the DOC...

This is a great spot to experience the mount cook area. You are surrounded by mountains with amazing Hikes in every direction. The facilities aren't great but get the job done and there are no showers. The views on the drive in are worth the trip.

Basic facilities with clean toilets and plenty of space to park your campervan. The views are stunning. There are plenty of walking tracks from the campsite so you can explore the park and surroundings. Definitely worth a visit.

As a family we loved this DOC site. Best location and stunning views! A lovely, big, well kept kitchen for cooking with tables and sink with cold water taps. No cookers. Toilets well kept and clean. Outside drinking water tap with sink. Great camping sites to pick from. Lovely walk back to the Mount Cook Village - The Hermitage to...

Campground itself was lovely - there's spots dotted all over the place so you can have some privacy, and ample parking so you can still park right near your tent. Public Shelter is clean and adequate - four large picnic tables, and large stainless steel benchtops for cooking and washing up. Additional sinks and toilets were available around the campsite,...

We spent 2 nights in a camper van at this location. It is about as good a view as you'll get from a campsite as the surrounding mountains are stunning. We were lucky with the weather - you might not see much if the cloud set in. There are loads of walks near by- we did the Hooker Valley track...

Loved this DOC as we arrived in driving rain that lasted ALL night! but woke up to a sunny morning ready to hike. There is a kitchen available to cook at, toilets nearby which are clean and most of the hikes stem straight from the campsite. Good place for a couple overnights, so you can really take in the different...

Didn't expect the site to be well-maintained and clean! Parking space was plenty and view was perfect. Very near to hike up the Hooker Valley Trail. Star Gazing was great too! There were three toilet units available and they were surprisingly quite clean. Only con was that no hot showers were available, only basic amenities. Enjoyed the spectacular view here,...

The DOC White Horse Hill Campsite was our home for a couple of nights in our Jucy motorhome and it is the perfect location and setting for the time we spent in the Mount Cook National Park. The site is very clean and feels like a perfect natural setting even though it was quite busy when we stayed, the site...
