Arrived on a Friday evening all wet and muddy after a day walking in the mountains. Pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to Penthouse Floor room. Really nice room with views over the city. We have a problem with our safety deposit box managed to communicate via Google translate and friendly guy fixed the issue in minutes. Everyone was very friendly... More

I stayed at Varuna hotel with my boyfriend and his father for one night. We booked two rooms - one for us and one for his father. We mistakenly made both reservations for one person. When we checked in, we corrected the mistake and noted all three names for the reservation. It took us close to 45 minutes to check... More

The location was very good. The Cable Plaza area is safe and enjoyable. The area includes shopping, restaurants, and bars. If you enjoy night life, this is the area. The Hotel is a block away from the main street so you don't hear the street noise. Big rooms. Average amenities.

I stayed for 3 nights, and I wouldn't recommend it, it was quite messy. Rooms are big allthough very noisy, breakfast was really not that nice, dry arrepas, bad bread, no fresh juice and the fruits where not ripe. The wifi was horrible, we had to go to Juan Valdez to get connected.

The hotel is good in general terms. Well located, spacious rooms, decent breakfast. A rather nice staff. However, the staff is not prepared to solve simple requests such as get a toothbrush. The bellboy stepped into the shower (with shoes on of course) to show me how the shower works. Service can definitively improve.

We booked a room through Booking.com in Feb. 2015 for a stay in March 2015, with confirmation number, etc and the reception said that there is no reservation under our name and that the hotel was fully booked. She did not even try to contact and clarify this issue with Booking.com. We had never had problems booking through this site... More

We stayed here overnight on a tour arranged by Manakin Birding Tours. Our 5th floor room was excellent, one of the best we stayed in during our tour. The staff were friendly but did not speak English. Early in the evening I realized the sofa was swaying and the curtain hooks were rattling, an earthquake! It lasted about 30 seconds,... More

I stayed in Manizales for few days on business. The hotel is old and the rooms and bathroom as well. No double windows and thus the cold/hot/noise passes through easily. The staff was helpful enough, however the wifi was sporadic. Location is decent and the street is clean and quiet. The breakfast was very limited.
