the b&b is in a central location. a bit hard to find at first but trust the sat nav and you will get there. once you do it is worth it! lovely house and beautiful gardens, and the guys that run it are attentive and friendly. couldn't ask for more... or so we thought until we came down and saw...

It's a privilege to stay in a house as historic and beautifully kept as this- with its lovely garden. Richard and Michael are excellent hosts, really thoughtful and welcoming. The room has everything I could possibly want- and I slept soundly in an extremely comfortable bed. A great base for exploring the area.

Excellent hosts - made us welcome straightaway. We felt quite at home. Very comfortable beds, quiet, all mod-cons yet lovely cottage character retained. Breakfast fantastic - even I couldn't finish it all! Spelt bread toast especially delicious.

I cannot remember staying in a better B&B. My husband and I stayed at Maplestone Hall for two nights and were genuinely sorry to leave. Richard and Michael are warmly welcoming and excellent hosts; nothing is too much trouble for them. The Hall is beautifully decorated and furnished, with lots of thoughtful touches. In our room there was a plentiful...

Lots of special touches from wine and chocolate to comfy slippers and dressing gowns. Bed was very comfortable. Hosts very welcoming. Breakfast was very generous and enjoyable. Pity it was just one...

We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst returning to my birthplace. We chanced upon Maplestone Hall and were so glad we did. It was perfect-furnished beautifully, stylish and comfortable and we were treated to a fantastic breakfast. Most of all, Richard and Michael were the most warm and gracious hosts. We hope to return very soon!

Stayed at the newly renovated Maplestone Hall , it has two new owners from London (Richard & Michael) who have made great changes since I was last there, a huge improvement! Lovely, clean, welcoming...highly recommended...shepton mallet is not a great town in fairness but the area where the B&B is placed is spot on to explore bath, wells, bristol etc...differently from what stated in other reviews avoid at all costs the dusthole (pub closeby) and just take the car and go elsewhere...

Owners are very welcoming. Pretty little courtyard garden and gorgeous stone built weavers cottage. Lovely big bedroom with very comfortable bed. Lovely cooked breakfast. Owner (Donald I think ) was very friendly and gave lots of info on area and places to eat which was very helpful.
