We were charged £45 for a 'Super Pitch' for 2 nights which included ehu, nothing else. No water tap or waste. We visited the week before and were glad to see that the dumped bit of carpet had been moved from one of the entrances. The only reason we came back was to join friends otherwise we probably wouldn't have...

The site itself is small and the vans are very close together and in a couple of cases it is difficult, on some impossible, to erect an awning and have a car alongside. Although flat and having hard-standing pitches, the site would benefit from having the grass mowed on a more regular basis. There are two entrances / exits, one...

As in previous years I arranged for a disparate group to meet and use the Halfway House Inn as a base for our shared interest, exploring the local countryside on the Saturday, and roaming west across Wales on the Sunday. The group lunch on the Saturday was enjoyed by all, those having steak were especially appreciative. My wife and I...

Just got back from a weekend staying at the halfway house inn. Once directed to our pitch we headed for the bar, the ale selection was good, we had an evening meal which was also very good. The only problem we had was trying to book a taxi to and from Bridgnorth that evening. Eventually the landlord fixed us up...

Booked in for two nights as visiting family with my 84 year old Dad who lived in Eardington all his life until 5 years ago. Thought the stay would be pleasant but we were VERY disappointed. We booked a twin room and were given a "Cottage" that was obviously designed for a group of builders to bunk down in rather...

We have visited this pub for a drink a few times in the last year or two often on Sunday lunchtimes. It has surprised us that it is usually almost or completely without customers and we have had even had trouble finding someone to serve us and there was never much of a welcome when someone was found. Our latest...

We called in on spec at Sunday lunch time. Friendly staff served us the excellent Sunday Steak lunchtime special - well priced and beautifully cooked. Lots of local and home grown produce used. Locals are very friendly and welcoming - we thought this was a great place - not a "plastic pub" at all - it's old and old fashioned...

Great pub. Peter, Matthew & the rest of the family & team couldn't do enough for us. Excellent beer, food and hospitality & atmosphere. We stayed in our van on the campsite, which had everything we needed. Highly recommend this pub, we'll certainly be back

My 69-year old mother stopped at this pub with her ramblers/walking group friends this week. When she paid for her drink with a ten pound note (witnessed by her friend) the bar tender/manager only gave her change for five pounds. When she politely queried this, the bar tender/manager was argumentative and refused to believe her. Ridiculously and unprovoked, he decided...
