A small traditional pub in a side street of Hove just off of the main thoroughfare that links Brighton and Hove, the pub has no food, no Sky TV, no loud music and no gaming machines, just a pub, BLISS! Originally called the Station Inn the earliest record as a pub was 1867 and was originally the Brunswick Police and Fire Station hence the name. There is a stark difference between the old pub and the modern guest rooms. I took the pub over in 2010 and converted the living accommodation to 3 en-suite rooms. I am helped by a great team, our manager Warren, Gervase, Maggie, Kevin and Simon in the bar and Wendy with the rooms. They all make our guests welcome as do our pub customers and Beau (our dog). Unfortunately, due to the age and nature of the property, access for some people may be difficult. If you have any special needs please give us a call to find out if we are able to accommodate you.

We have stayed at the bow street runner several times now and love it. Very welcoming staff, lovely well kept rooms. Within walking distance to the seafront and shops. A great place to stay. Thanks Sue and staff for another lovely few days.

Amazing stay, the room was comfortable, very clean and fresh. The staff in the pub were very welcoming and the regulars were also good fun and didn’t make us feel like outsiders. I recommend the Bow Runner and will be returning

Lovely hotel. Sue the landlady was very welcoming. Excellent location. Just above a lovely little pub that was also very welcoming. Comfortable bed, clean and cosy room. Few minutes from beach and shopping. Beautiful seaside theme decor. Would love to stay here again.

... but we shan't be returning. Upon entering the establishment it was clear it was a local pub. Everyone just stopped and stared at me! I had to pay with card and have no idea what I paid as receipts were not on offer. Our group became quite lively which wasn't appropriate and
