Great place to stay, our second trip but much busier than before which is both good and bad. The room we had this time (Swan) was amazing, very large, amazing comfortable bed and huge bathroom, in fact there was a rolltop bath in the room too. So, no complaints there. The restaurant was packed, but the food was pretty good....

Lovely rooms (we had a best) although not keen on being woken at 6am by fire alarm going off due to someone putting a kettle on in another room!!!! Not their fault apparently and no discount from our bill. Food expensive and not particularly good (fillet steak £28 and rather chewy). Service very slow and had to ask the waitress...

Ideally situated for RSPB Minsmere and Soithwold. We booked the Supper Sunday Stay and opted for a better room. Unfortunately we didn't get the extras that came with a better room and so were only charged for a good room when we checked out. We stayed in Nightjar. On the plus side, the room was a good size, clean and...

We stayed on a Saturday night. Visited Aldeburgh and then checked in around 3 in afternoon. We had a 'Better' room, good quality furnishings, comfortable bed and a blanket and welcome bowl of biscuits for the dog. We spent a couple of hours in the afternoon drinking wine and reading in the lounge area, before having a kip and going...

My husband and I stayed for one night only on Thursday 16 February 2017. I was very impressed on initial arrival with the layout of accommodation and parking facilities. On checking in we were shown to our room which I thought was lovely - and the free standing bath in the bathroom was one of the biggest I have ever...

Stayed for just one night with my daughter - it happened to be Valentine's evening so the car park was packed when we arrived - don't know where all the people were, though, because it didn't feel overly crowded inside. We were greeted by a friendly, helpful receptionist who booked us into the restaurant immediately and showed us to our...

Stayed her during February 2017 with my wife and old spaniel. The hotel is very dog friendly, they get their own little blanket bowl and biscuits on arrival. The doggies are more than welcome for your evening meal, where the food is very good and breakfast which is also very good and doggie gets her own sausage. The bar area...

Brilliant. I mean nobody has ever given the dog breakfast! Lovely inn, dog really welcome, great food. Even did the inn to inn walk and had fish and chips at the Ship in Dunwich which was also excellent.

Great food, excellent rooms (3 of them!) very friendly staff. Bathrooms very well appointed, breakfast included (for dog as well, nice touch). A lot of local produce in the menu, varied wine list, lots of local ales.

We stayed here for one night in a 'best' room, taking advantage of the winter offer. Our room was in one of the cottages and not in the main building and, apart from the occasional sound from the plumbing, found it very comfortable and roomy, with everything we needed for our one night stay. The Crown has a warm and...
