I see I am not the only one who was disappointed after their stay in this hotel. I can't really say that the rooms were clean: cobwebs in every corner of the room accompanied by their inhabitants, mould in the bathroom, some members of the staff weren't all that friendly. Also a huge pity that little children (aged till 12) were allowed in the sauna and pool area without anyone watching them. Hence: screaming and for us no relaxing and that's was the reason why we booked this weekend in the first place: a wellness weekend. Good things: the lady in the bar was very nice and interested, her male companion who was attending the bar the next evening should follow her example. A luxurious breakfast with a wide choice of products. Beware of the coffee; better order a capuccino or have tea. We had a massage and that lady had magic hands. I wish she lived in my neighbourhood.…
fantastic stay and Valentine dinner at De Rosep this quisine is more then just refined or plain good.. it is brought with passion for the job, as a matter of fact, the whole hotel staff is well trained and super friendly, nothing is too much for these guys.. we will return.. even just for the excellent welness sauna's or bubble bath or even swimming pool with contra waves.. I'm loving it. and then I did not say one word about the enviremont ..the beautiful Forrest that surrounds you for walks in nature of many many km.. also very close to lots of fine places for sightseeing.. or the town of Oisterwijck with his very nice shopping or bars and restaurants..too much to mention... we are hooked, do not doubt, and come fire a stay. it's very clean and more then your money worth.. amen to that. …
The Landgoed de Rosep is a vast bungalow style hotel in the woods near Tilburg, south of Oisterwijk. Completlely surrounded by trees, with a beautiful large pond in front with fountain, it is a one storey bungalow hotel with several long wings for the rooms. Rooms a bit old-fashioned, but clean and functional. No frills. Very nice bar and excellent restaurant with French cuisine. Top quality, perfect taste, experienced and polite staff! Recommendable!
Given the name Landgoed, and the four stars, despite having found a very good deal, we were a bit disappointed by the look of this hotel. It was almost a little dishevelled, and could do with some more tlc. Having said that it was clean enough, staff were friendly on the whole, and care was taken to meet our persoanl needs, especially in the restaurant, where a lovely breakfat buffet was served with a great choice of tasty food. The wellness was only accessible during limited hours, and was very poorly attended to even when it was reported to the desk that there was dirt everywhere, empty cups and dirty slippers strewn across the place, empty water barrels, and all the clean towels were gone. The beds were very comfortable, it has to be noted. So the very essentials of bed and breakfast were more than met, if only that quality could be extended overall.…
So me and my best girl had booked an arrangement. After some complications with the reservation desk (politeness is big here in France) we changed our arrangement because there was a special diner with music that saterday evening which we wanted to attend. All rooms are on the ground floor which is great. We were at the very end which means we really had to cross the whole hotel to get to the restaurant/ bar. Welcome drink with regional specialty was delicious. Some kids running an screaming really ruined it a bit so we decided to go for the promised peace and relaxation in the spa. We had also booked massages (cranio sacraal for her and massage Thai for me). So the wellness centre was crowded with little children, running, screaming, yelling, jumping and splashing all over. We were horrified. Parents were nowhere to be seen and since there is no hotel supervision this did not change for some time. We took our chance when the little monsters were all in the pool to seize control of the whirlpool and were soon joined by other (elderly) adults, also content to find some peace. The massages where for both of us excellent. This woman is a magicien! Whe did not return to the wellness centre even though most children had finally disappeared. The evening diner was very good with some dancing. Sadly there was nobody to explain the choice of the wine (wild meat diner with wine arrangement) even though I was very surprised to see white wines served with the meat. We both slept well. Bathroom was lovely with a good shower. Breakfast not enorm but enough choice with some sort of egg pancakes (delicious!). We took the opportunity to go to the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen (other side of the road) and although it is beautiful there we were somewhat disappointed to come across other people every 100 meters or so.…
Let’s start with the positives: The room was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, the dinner was of very good quality and so were the wines. There’s a great outdoor seating area and a secure indoor bicycle storage room. The environment is great too! We stayed in a deluxe room, which was supposed to be spacious but I found it disappointing. If you’re a 4* hotel, you should in my opinion provide a minimum of 2 pillows per guest, add powder coffee and small cookies to your teabags, have a larger kettle without having to walk to the bathroom with the cable (i believe this might be risky). And worst of all, SINGLE GLASS in the windows??? It was seriously cold at night. I cannot believe you charge nearly 150 euro a night and still have your windows as in the 1950’s! And then they have a “green key” award... that does not mean anything apparently.…
It is located in a very quiet area with very good rooms, leisure facilities and excellent food. Plenty of opportunities for walking and biking. There are small restaurants in the forest as well where you can relax and have a beer. Hotel provided a smart phone (free to use) which was a really nice touch, especially useful when you are out walking or biking. The staff were very nice, courteous and speak very good English.
Very nice hotel, we were with a group of 9 people and had a great time. Hotel nicely located, rooms absolutely great and most of all the restaurant was very good. We loved the breakfast and the fun professional personnel. Presume this is a hotel mostly used for business meetings and therefore coming the week-end was nice and cool. Giving the feeling that we had the hotel to ourselves. Which obviously was not the case,
After arriving a bit early we we're directed to our room by a friendly receptionist. Strangely we got no directions whatsoever about breakfast, the restaurant or the hotel's facilities. We got room no. 36 which was a quite dark but very clean with a very nice bathroom and a view of a tennis court and trees. The hotel has a great little wellness centre, again very clean and relaxing. It's a pity there is no bar or lounge area with a nice relaxing ambiance. Cosy or gezellig as we Dutch say, is not a word that describes Landgoed de Rosep. Besides the wellness area there's a business-like atmosphere. We're thinking about a next visit in December but it depends on the prices at that time. The neighbouring hotel although it is definitely less classy, less clean and has less facilities offers a very friendly and cosy ambiance, a nicer breakfast and also a appealing lounge area.…
We stayed 2 nights in De Rosep and we liked it. There is a big private parking for the car and a secured indoor parking for bicycles. The hotel is in a green and quiet environment where it is a dream to bicycle. Our room was clean, but a bit dated and in need of some renovation. Airco did not work and there was a light missing in the bathroom. Breakfastbuffet is good and plentyfull. The hotel has a lovely terrace to drink an apéro or to eat outside.People at the reception are very kindly. When we returned to our room in the evening of our second day, the room had not been cleaned. But they offer us a drink in the bar and meanwhile, they made up the room. They allowed us to leave our car at the parking for 2 nights extra, because we liked to bicycle farther up and to sleep in other places. So the hotel is not perfect, but the environment and the friendly staff made, we enjoyed our stay.…
