It,s always a pleasure to stay at this hotel (formerly The little seahorse) since my grandparents lived there 100 years ago and my father was born there in the roaring twenties and raised there till the end of the 2nd WW in this beautifully renovated house. The staff is very kind and informal. The hotel is modern with clean and...

We were here outside the season. The staff was very friendly and even reopened the kitchen for us at late arrival. The rooms are quite cosy but for you benefit from reasonable pricing. Absolutely advisable for short term stays outside the season. Good Price/performance ratio.

I visited Ameland, Hollum, in August 2015 and stayed at this hotel. The hotel was very central in Hollum and easy to find with a little help from the buss driver. The room was nice and very clean but the best thing was the friendly staff. Thank you for all help!

After viewing the paarden reddenboot event we stopped at 1761. Warmly greeted and served. Great beer and wine choices for reasonable prices. We did not have a meal but found the menu appealing. Other reviewer forgets this is a vacation island! We will return.

Very good beds (boxspring) in our room. Room and bathroom were very clean and modern. Room was not very big but big enough and must be placed into comparison to the price. Breakfest was very good but basic but I like basic (because it is healthier). The coffee is filtercoffee and I liked it.You can make fresh pressed orange juice...

Nothing really wrong with this hotel, but the quality/price ratio is a bit off in my opinion. Rooms are OK and the bathroom with whirlpool is even great. It is however nothing special. Especially for breakfast there is only little choice and not good quality (instant coffee machine, etc). Maybe better hotels around. If you like to go to restaurants...

Great place to stay, wonderfully authentic. Friendly staff and good service. Breakfast was plain but good, every day a different offer. Modern interior in an antique house (1700-ish). We had a small room but that was fine and the bathroom was very modern and clean.

small (10 rooms) and recently re-opened hotel in the nicest village (Hollum) of the small Island Ameland. The hotel has a strong feeling of a Bed & Breakfast, due to the fact that there is a very large living room with all amenities to spend a cosy evening (or even entire day; especially useful on one of those rainy days)...

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Het Zeepaardje! Check-in was easy despite the fact that employees are not always at the hotel (a phone on the desk rings to the cell phone of a nearby owner). The hotel has a clean, modern design that is also cozy and a little bit quirky. Our room was absolutely gorgeous...
