The Azuline Hotel Mar Amantis & Mar Amantis II garners mixed reviews, with guests applauding its prime beachfront location and convenient water taxi access to San Antonio. However, some guests are left wanting, citing a shortage of sunbeds and a need to queue early.
The hotel's service quality varies, with experiences of friendly staff contrasted by interactions with unresponsive bar staff. Despite the hotel's cleanliness and daily room service, the value proposition is criticized due to subpar food and unexpected costs, and the atmosphere and room decor are deemed outdated by numerous travelers.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel great location u have 2 blocks directly opposite each other the main block wjere the sea view pool is and main dinning area is is well kept but not many beds at all plus in the evening not enough tables people were having to sit on side of the pool, the other block is clean but dated this is where the snack bar and better pools are, the only downfall about this side is the cleanliness of pool areas I never seen them once get cleaned there was always stuff floating in them and the floors needed a good scrub, also the 2 young bar staff in snack bar was the rudest people iv ever met one as blonde hair and the other dark with glasses! They made me feel so awkward about going up to get drinks or order food they looked at people like we were something on there shoe! Room was in this block very dated but clean, cleaners knocked every day.aircon was rubbish better to keep the doors open instead also walls are paper thin can hear everything slamming doors constantly can hear chairs being dragged from downstairs in the bar this was constant, entertainment was absolutely s**t 3 nights a week and was crap! Good in the main block was good breakie was my fav, there was a lot of choice at lunch and dinner but it’s no good for non meat eaters, everything has meat on Im not a veggie but a fussy eater. We ate out a few times at a bar literally up the road called urban lounge was lovely. Taxie boat also right outside the hotel 3 euro one way or a nice walk is about 30 mins, would I stay here again yeah if it was the right price or I couldn’t find anything better,

We were slightly worried initially after reading the bad reviews but please please please don’t let those reviews let you think twice about this hotel! We had such a wonderful time here, we stayed in Mar amantis 2 which had the standard rooms in comparison to the premium rooms in Mar amantis 1, but our rooms were always very clean with fresh towels everyday from the lovely housekeepers so we were more than happy with the room at the price we paid. You could use the facilities at both hotels which was really nice so could go to both pools and use the bar at both hotels. The all inclusive drinks had a great range to choose from and the bar staff were great, always having a laugh with them. You do need to pay €1 for each cup but once returned you receive your €1 back so no problems at all. The snack bar is located in Mar Amantis 2 and the main restaurant is located in Mar Amantis 1, food was all good with a wide variety of choice. They had one section with a chef cooking different meats each day and pancakes in the morning which was yummy😋 Would definitely recommend going to this hotel if staying in Ibiza on a budget. Definitely a great 3 star hotel, worth the price. Go and enjoy 😁

Just back home after a weeks stay in mar amantis with the wife and 7 year old daughter. This was our 6th trip to ibiza in about 12 years past 3 with daughter and with the wife booking this amd seeing some of the reviews I admit I had the fear before arriving. We were booked in quickly on Saturday afternoon and put on 4th floor room 1414 which had a side on sea view which we paid for. Quick unpack and check off the room, couldn't lock the balcony door reported to reception who had it fixed by time we returned a few hours later after a dip in Mar amaris pool which had great views, adult pool was decent and baby pool also but even at that time of night sunbeds were scarce. We ventured over to Mar amaris II for a look which had a lot more vacant sunbeds and a choice of 4 pool areas, this was our go too for rest of holiday and would be my recommendation for anyone with kids or who didn't fancy the morning rush to get a sunbed at Mar amaris. Back to our room, beds were comfy, shower was amazing, balcony view decent, tv and safe in room which we never used, rooms tidied on request, we only asked for it twice and both times had no complaints. You only get one key and did not have any issues over security. We had breakfast and dinner included but hotel were flexible and allow you go for lunch rather than dinner if you fancy eating out at night which we did most of the time. We had no complaints over the hotel food, plenty choice and what we had was more than adequate. I think Mar amantis II looked a bit noisier going by some of the balconys but can say we had no issues with noise from fellow residents, or from outside. Location is ideal with kumaharas at one end of bay a 20 min wall one way and San Antonio strip 20 min walk the other way. Boat taxi at 4 euros a pop right outside hotel also. Overall I would stay here again, my only issue was having no fridge in the room but reading other reviews believe these can be requested at reception for an additional cost.

The worst hotel experience ever!! I stayed in this hotel for a week, all inclusive. For starters, the food was horrible and not much to choose from. The plates and cups in the restaurant weren’t clean. The bar started charging for reusable cups even though it was an all inclusive.
The bedding was stained on arrival, this had not been changed for my whole stay even when I requested for it to be changed. The towels were also filthy.
The pool seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned as it was so dirty, I didn’t even get in it!
Some of the staff were unhelpful, I felt uncomfortable asking for help after a rude encounter with one of the reception staff regarding my room key.
I really DO NOT recommend this hotel, absolutely shocking!!

Stayed at the Mar Amantis 10th-17th May. This has good and not so good points.
Mar Amantis is 2 hotels across the road from each other, with meals eaten at 1 and entertainment (if you can call it that) at 2.
Mar Amantis 1 has the most spectacular view across the bay from the large terrace which has 2 pools. You can also get a water taxi from the adjacent jetty that takes you across the bay in around 8 mins for €4 each, takes an hour+ to walk. Staff are really nice and friendly at both and you were able to have good banter. There's also a coffee shop attached to hotel 2 thats great with outside seating.
My down points are, if you go here make sure you have enough euros. Hotel doesn't have facilities to change currency. The staff point you to local bank just a few mins away but the bank won't help as your not a member. Only other place local is a tobacconist who do exchange but you only get like for like (£100 for €100).
We were put into Mar Amantis 2. The rooms are good size and daily housekeeping great. Tho watch the showers as if you turn them on to fast, water floods everywhere. People next to us had water running out their room door. Noise levels during the night though were terrible with the young coming in from clubbing. Took 3 days for them to get warning about noise and after that things calmed down a bit.
Be aware that the bar is only open to 11pm, at both hotels. We were all inclusive but you can't even buy drink after this. You pay €1 for your plastic tumbler thats refunded when you hand it in. There's also no snack bar at night after the restaurant shuts at back of 9pm. Another point was toilets had no hand dryers fitted in gents or ladies so had to go back and get toilet roll to dry your hands. Dryers fitted at hotel 1 though.
A few local bars n shops around with beers at €3
This hotel was lovely, clean and very friendly so with a few tweaks it could be a lot better.

Dear alanmM6125DO, We appreciate that you decided to share your opinion with all the members of this site. We are very proud that the professionalism of our staff and our perfect location next to the beaches left a good impression on you. Furthermore, it is a big pleasure for us to read that our spotless cleaning was up to your level of expectations. The tranquility and the rest of our hotel guests is one of our priorities and we are convinced that our staff is very implicated about the intense effort required on this aspect. However, we apologize if you had any issue concerning the noise levels. Looking forward to welcome you again soon. Best regards, Daniel R.S. azuLinehotels Customer Service

Arrived in the morning, transfer was smooth and easy. On entering the hotel it smelt of cigarette. Check in was slow and we were the only people checking in.
(You have to pay tax when you get there be mindful of that)
I paid to upgrade the room so we were staying in Amantis 1.
Our room was lovely. Beds really comfy, pillows good quality, shower so powerful and spotless, also had a lovely view of the bay. Air con worked brilliantly. (Just no fridge)
Restaurant was nice, food was good no complaints (normal all inclusive)
Bar in Amantis 1 was for the outside area which was ok, you pay 1 euro for your cup, 1 barman was very reluctant to give you your euro back once you had finished with it, twice he never offered it back but I just left it as I thought he must be skint! But he should of offered.
The outside are is ok, the view is stunning.
Downfall in Amantis 1 the pool… OMG it was absolutely disgusting!! Filthy with black green algae floating around, I was mortified. I said to my family there is no way on earth we are getting in that we will be ill… 2 days later it was cornered off with red tape!! Says it all. Such a shame as the bay is stunning and would of been lovely to sit in that area in the day.
Amantis 2 is where you will find the better pool but even that I had reservations, bits floating around in it and black grout around the edge of the main pool. Never seen anyone cleaning the actual pools, they would wash the area around the pools in the morning as they didn’t open until 10am so when you got there everything was soaking wet? Couldn’t put your bags on the floor, felt that was a bit stupid and everywhere I’ve stayed before things were washed down at night.
The bar in Amantis smelt like rotten egg? Don’t know if it was the air con? But the bar staff in that bar were lovely I can’t fault them. You can order snacks there but there’s no info about so we never bothered. The pool bar was not open for a few days but on the day we were leaving it was which made it easier than tracking down to the main bar each time. Music is played around the pool which we enjoyed until other holiday makers decided to blast their music over the top of it and we had 2 lots of music playing which really annoyed me, I spoke with staff but they weren’t interested in dealing with the situation.
All in all, our room was perfect, we slept well, some noise at night but you are in Ibiza and it’s the island that doesn’t sleep.
Would I stay here again, Sorry NO.
The pools just let the whole hotel down.
Positives;
The upgraded room
Location
Tip;
We went clubbing 1 night (Amnesia) and loved it.
Also you can get a water taxi over to San Antonio it was 4 euro each and went over every 20 minutes, we visited Cafe Mambo and watched the sun set it’s beautiful!

We came back from this hotel just under a week ago. I was a bit apprehensive arriving due to mixed reviews. However, it was great. The guy in reception gave us a basic check-in (I gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was 9pm) he didn't really explain much. It wasn't until after dinner that we realised that we didn't know where entertainment was, how the AI works it about the second hotel.
We asked staff that evening/following day. We stayed in Amantis 1 which had the restaurant and the evening entertainment. I'm assuming entertainment was changed due to covid. We only had it 3 out of 7 nights and we were all squashed around the pool to watch with very limited seating. However, it Amantis 2 there was a huge stage and hall.
We were in a room where we were woken up every single morning at 4am and 6am by a delivery truck. This was every single day and very annoying. Our view was some basic gardens.
The food was lovely. In Mar Amantis 1 was the restaurant but in Amantis 2 was the burger bar which was basic but good when you just wanted burger and chips. Ice creams were available from behind the bar in 2, but help your self from the freezer from 1.
We were literally a 30 second walk away from the beach which we were hounded, and I mean hounded by the guys selling sunglasses/bags etc. To a point where one sat outside outlr hotel door every single day. He offered to sell my partner drugs every day when he was walking to the shop on his own. (The shops also 30 second walk away).
It's a lot easier to get a sun lounger in Amantis 2 and the pools are better. There's also pool, air hockey, ping pong etc which my 12 year old enjoyed.
We would go back here again.

We have been there for 11 night till hotel closed on 31/10. I dont understand all those bad rewievs. You cant expect 4* if you pay for 3*.
People, could U show me a hotel on Ibiza where is completly quiet an night time? The answer is No. Then stop complaining about that, please.
Food was very Good, Pools Good, no rubbish (plastic cups) around because you pay deposit 1euro for drink glasses, no problems with sunbeds.
Big Plus for entertaiment team- Roy and Miriam. My 9 years old daughter and we were impressed.
Dart, archery, airgun, pingpong, volleyball, minigolf, waterpolo, karaoke +++++++.
All Staff working hard to Meet our expectations.
Thank You All for our stay.

Please do not book this hotel, it was the worst place we have ever stayed.
Admittedly I have never stayed in a3star hotel before, we only go 4 and above but I would expect cleanliness and safety to be paramount especially in the current climate
The pool was filthy, never cleaned until a guest actually brought the manager out to look at it.
Even then it wasn’t done properly
I had to clean my own bathroom daily, as there was soap scum on all the taps, the shower was unacceptable. None seemed to clean it as I left hair on purpose in the shower and it was still there
Nearly every day I had to go to reception to request another toilet roll, again unacceptable
The dining room was ok, but the plates were dirty, I tried at least 4 one evening until I got a clean one
Exit doors to the pool area chained and padlocked so you could not get out, health and safety issue there ,apart from the fact you couldn’t reach the area.
Sunbed’s dirty and broken, no cleaning in the pool area, no one cleaned th3 tables or took away used plastic cups, we cleared up quite a few and cleaned a table ourselves just to have somewhere to sit.
Drinks were watered down and very limited selection
Food basic and very unappealing
The only good thing about this so called holiday was the weather, which had nothing to do with the hotel
This is the first time we have travelled with Jet2 and I think it will be our last
We will go back to TUI where we have never had to complain before

We stayed in Mar Amantis 2 which was just across the road from the main hotel. The room could do with a bit of tlc but once we finally had it turned around from the last occupants it was very clean. The bathroom looks like it has recently been upgraded and was lovely. The room was a little small for a family of 3 with a travel crib but fortunately we spent most of our time out of the room. The beds we pretty hard but the room did what we needed it to.
The pools at both hotel sites were nice but Mar Amantis 2 could use a little bit of a spruce up, althought that didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.
We enjoyed the food and there was always something to eat but I think any longer than a week and it could become a bit samey. Everything was always hot and tasty though.
With the exception of one incident all the staff we came across were lovely and very accommodating. On one occasion, they allowed us to take food to our room for our young son who wasn't feeling too great and on another occasion one of the waiting on staff got us a bowl of soup for the little one who was refusing to eat even though it was not on the menu.
Towards the end of our week the hotel was rather noisy in the evenings but we were approaching the Ibiza Big Weekend so lots of people coming to party. More of a complaint against the guests themselves and nothing to do with the hotel.
The location is good and has a great view across the bay to San Antonio. There is a water taxi right outside the hotel which is €4 each way and runs pretty much every 30 minutes until 11pm. There are plenty of local shops and restaurants around to have a wander and the little beach next to the hotel was clean and the water was crystal clear.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and for the price we paid, in the location and the season it was great value for money.
