In our opinion the best hotel in San Antonio. There is nothing not to like. All of the staff are amazing and give excellent customer service. The sea view rooms are superb. Rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Food is superb. Really 10/10 experience as always. Thank you The Abrat!
I love this hotel! This is the second time we’ve visited and will be back. The staff are great, the hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms are spacious. There is always sunbeds and brollys available no matter what time of day you go to the pool There is plenty of choice for breakfast, and the food from the pool bar is great too The hotel has such a great location, 10 mins walk from Mambo and into the nightlife but there’s plenty of bars and restaurants within minutes where you can also watch the sunset. The rooftop bar is amazing, with great views of the bay, it’s also a bit of a hidden gem as there’s only ever a handful over people there Thank you again ❤️
We had a fabulous time here. Great hotel definitely deserves more stars. Amazing choice for breakfast & bar food was also great. Staff were always friendly & helpful. Location was perfect, close to everything but just far enough away to enjoy peace & relaxation. Really have no negatives to say
Perfect stay for a girls holiday. Reception & bar staff really friendly and helpful. Location was great - close to bars and restaurants (Golden Buddha, Monkey, Kasbah and Mambo) cute little cove to swim in. Our sea view room had sunset views. We will definitely stay here again next year.
Fabulous, the room was gorgeous. Amazing bathroom. Local to mambo. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts have a great selection of choice. Plenty of sunbeds, towel you can hire for week. Local to lots of restaurants within walking distance.
we stayed at this hotel august 2019 and august 2022, the location is great and the rooms are clean and modern, breakfast was included and this was a great selection and tasty, the roof top sunset bar is lovely. It is defo worth paying for a room with a view we didnt in 2019 and our balcony was over some kind of construction site which is still there now in 2022. In 2019 when we arrived the woman on the desk was rude and unhelpful when our room was not ready (1:30pm arrival) and it was 3pm until it was. The wifi is rubbish in the rooms doesnt work only works in the lobby but it is free, as is fridge , aircon and safe. The main issue and why i wouldnt return is because we had our bag stolen from around the pool with both our phones in, anyone could walk into the hotel front door and get into the pool area it isnt secure, they then jumped over the garden wall and from speaking to guests we were the second people it had happened to that week but there was no warning from the hotel that the pool area was unsafe. They were also quite uninterested in helping us e.g we couldnt google map where the police station was or ring a taxi or ring the police and they wouldn't do any of this for us and just seemed totally uninterested. They did check the cctv so we could see what time the bag was stolen (we had been in the pool 11 minutes). The situation could have been avoided by having key card entrance on the front door as they do on the poolside door and even though it happened they could have been nicer to us when we were stranded in a foreign country with no phones and a stolen wallet. A shame as we got engaged on this holiday and lost all our photos and also had the destination and hotel associated with our first holiday as a couple and where we got engaged ruined. (fyi there was a wedding on the hotel sun terrace while we stayed there so if your looking for a venue they seem to accommodate) ALSO another thing i didn't like is that they have normal free sun loungers as they did in 2019 however when we returned in 2022 they have also added 4 day beds and charge you 20 euro a day to sit on them, seems cheeky to be charged to sit around the hotel pool and it has reduced the amount of available sun loungers around the pool.…
Well, where do I start? If you are going to read one thing about this hotel on TripAdvisor read this first sentence ~ book it, you will not be disappointed. Let’s start at the beginning, so the reception check-in was swift and easy, despite the previous people not checking out the room we were found a suitable replacement within minutes and the sea view that we booked was absolutely worth it. It’s not much more expensive than the other rooms and you get to watch the most amazing sunset ever. Breakfast, well for three star hotel we were absolutely blown away. From the variety of fruits, meats, and bread it was absolutely amazing and to be honest I’ve been to 5 star hotels that I’ve not had that amount of selection! Absolutely brilliant! The hotel restaurant is open from 8 am until 10:30am for breakfast and it was never massively busy, you weren’t queueing for food it was set out beautifully and again overlooked the sea which was an absolute perfect way to start your day. The room itself: we booked a standard tea room and it was modern, up-to-date with air-conditioning although the balcony door had to be shut for the back air-conditioning to work. The beds were firm which is exactly the way we like it and very very comfortable. They were cleaned every day, fresh towels provided and when you need more, the same normal practice of putting them in the bath if you need them changing. There is also a free of charge safe which is virtually unheard of these days and a small fridge as well. The pool area had a larger pool with lots of steps going down so possibly helpful for people with mobility issues? There’s an additional pool to the right hand side for children. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and we were quite surprised to see that even by 9:30 am nobody had reserved a sunbed they were all empty and open so you don’t have to worry about rushing down to put a towel on your bed. In addition to the pool area, they also had a large garden area that you could place your sunbeds in, this was beautiful as it was quieter and the trees gave you some welcome rest from the sunshine. We ate at the snack bar one day which is around the pool, simple sandwiches and it was absolutely delicious, the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful and there is a large shaded area again if you want to get out of the sunshine. Reception staff were, throughout the time we were there, incredibly helpful. No problems ringing taxis, the longest we had to wait for one to arrive was 10 to 15 minutes. All in all it was an amazing day and we would happily go there again both with or without children. For three stars this is hand on heart the best value hotel we stayed in and it should easily be a four star so thank you Hotel Abrat, we enjoyed every minute of us stay with you.…
We went for our anniversary, had our room upgraded. Amazing hotel staff were super friendly overall experience was perfect from start to finish. Couldn’t recommend anymore would deffo stay there again
This was a nice hotel, pretty standard room compared to our friends who upgraded. Would certainly recommend paying that little extra for a sea view or better room as it was almost like a completely different hotel. Our room was nice enough as we weren’t spending a lot of time in there anyway. Bar staff were lovely. Pool was great!! Always sun loungers available too. Breakfast was pretty nice, better than I would have expected too! Would definitely stay again :)
This is,a great place to stay ,I have no complaints ,Great breakfast, great bar staff ,brilliant pool area ,always beds available, shaded garden area ,book a garden veiw and you will get a sea veiw also ,,plus theses rooms are new built and the rooms are enormous,The Bathroom is the biggest I’ve ever seen with a corner bath and fab shower ,and his and hers sinks, large balcony. And to top it off the most comfy bed I’ve ever slept in on holiday ..
