We stayed here for 2 nights during a recent visit to Spain. Simple hotel that's clean and comfortable with a magnificent location overlooking the beach and the sea. Parking is at the rear and must be accessed from the road behind the hotel.

My wife and I stayed the weekend at this hotel for our anniversary, and it was close to perfect. The staff, reception, bar staff, the cleaning lady, were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The suites on the top floor have huge balconies overlooking the beach, and we spent a pleasant pre-dinner Saturday evening with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. Not as expensive as it sounds. One slight niggle was the disco music on Saturday evening, but up on the third floor it was easy to ignore (okay, maybe I'm showing my age, but it's nice to be able to have a quiet conversation at times.) That will not put us off going again. And their anti-Covid procedures are absolutely spot-on. Hand sanitisers provided on every floor, the dining areas and floors are regularly cleaned. A very good example to other hotels.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel with average sized rooms in a beautiful location overlooking the sea. It's within walking distance of bars and restaurants, and also the town centre. The breakfasts are not great: the limited hot food is always tepid and dry. The continental breakfast is not inspiring. The coffee machines are a disaster.

We are currently staying in this hotel which is wonderful. The staff are outstanding. Very warm & friendly. We were instantly made very welcome from the girls at reception Rosa & Vanessa who were absolutely delightful! We were given a wonderful room with sea view which was very reasonable indeed. The sunsets from our balcony are stunning & it's lovely waking up to a view of the sea & such an incredible beach in the mornings! The hotel itself is very clean & bright & it would be very difficult to encounter such good service elsewhere. José at breakfast, bent over backwards to please! All our needs were anticipated! We shall definitely return. A huge thank you to you all & to dear Carlos who helped us out tremendously.

The Monterrey Hotel is located on the beachfront in an excellent location surrounded by loads of good quality restaurants at reasonable prices. The hotel appears to be recentley modernised is well kept, maintained, clean and has an excellent staff. Each and everyone of them I came across were helpful, kind and went out of their way to help you.The restaurant produces an exciting menu with big portions of good quality food and very reasonable prices. My future visits to Chipiona must of necesity be linked to the Monterrey.

Good hotel on the ocean beach. Huge great beach. A wonderful promenade. The road between the hotel and the beach is not a cross-cutting and does not create a nuisance. Spacious equipped room with a balcony and ocean views. The room has everything necessary. Good WiFi. A good restaurant with reasonable prices. Good breakfasts. Inexpensive parking.

We stayed for 6 nights in the hotel using it as a base to explore the surrounding area, Jerez, Cadiz etc. We paid a bit more for a sea facing balcony and it was well worth it, the sunsets were beautiful. Chipiona is a very Spanish holiday resort which could be a little tricky if you don't speak the language but the advantages far outweigh any communication problems! Everything was much cheaper than the more touristy towns and cities. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, we went through most of their menu during our stay and every meal was beautifully served and delicious and for UK patrons at least, remarkably cheap. There was a buffet breakfast which catered for all requirements and always a giant coiled churros, you could snip off the required length with scissors! A big thanks to all the staff, we had a lovely time!

Where to start?? Absolutely awesome - from the complimentary glass of muscatel as we checked in, to being taken to our room by the lovely receptionist, to the immaculate room with towels folded like swans, to the perfect location, to kerbside appeal - we walked round Chipiona and in our opinion this hotel looked the most inviting from the outside, and the inside didn't disappoint, to having its own secure private car park for 3 euros a night, to some of the best food we've eaten anywhere ever - this hotel has to be one of the best in Spain in its price bracket!! Think the only downside was no kettle in the room and the bed was a bit hard - but that last bit is down to personal preference - will definitely be having a return visit!!

Stayed 11-14 Jul for work. Booked thru Booking.com Cons-cost more per night than Melia Valencia. Messaging of room description not accurate to reality, issue with Booking.com I requested a room with a view of the beach-did not happen. I requested a parking spot, that happen for 12 euro a day. Had problem with your website during booking, had to use Booking.com. I was in A 15, the room was below the main floor (lobby/restaurant/patio), my window was facing the small interior courtyard that lets in the music from the patio restaurant well past midnight:( I am directly underneath the patio with a bouncy castle for the kids. If you're trying to go to bed early because you have go to work at 08:00, you're screwed:( I try to move but no rooms available. Spotty WiFi especially during peak hours. Pros-right on the beach, very nice hotel, bright and clean. Good size room with safe and fridge. AC GTG. Close to all the actions, sites, restaurants and shopping. Well trained staff, most spoke English, very polite and helpful. Awesome food at the restaurant and one of the best mojito I had. Very good price. Had dinner there twice. Excellent beach for morning run and a swim. I would stay here again but now I know the layout. Be sure you know where your room is before confirming. If you go to bed late than it shouldn't be an issue.
