This is a delightful hostel in a traditional building, in the prettiest street in Chipiona! super friendly staff, our room was serviced daily, local cafes and bars are lovely and the beautiful beach a minutes walk. Out of season, a fabulous retreat 🥰🏖
Quite nice hostel really near of beach and walking area. Restaurants and shopping street very near. Hostel has its own terrace. Very nice and kind staff. Rooms are clean, has TV and small fridge, air-conditioning.
In the centre of the town and a couple of minutes walk to the northern beaches. These have corrals to catch fish but when the tide is in the beach and swimming is fine. The beaches south of the lighthouse are better for swimming but slightly further away, about ten minutes stroll. Nice hostal with rooms surrounding a small but pleasant patio. I booked for two nights, liked the town and the hostal so stayed for two more. Different room for the second two nights. Both rooms were fine for this type of accommodation. Single bed in one and a small double bed in the other. Both with en-suite with showers and the first room had a small bath. Both had a small wardrobe to hang clothes with plenty of coat hangers. No meals, but plenty of cafes close by. Clean, fresh towels each day, pleasant staff. Very good for hostel accommodation. Paid 40 Euro per night; this is the peak season and it felt appropriate.…
Gran Capitan is a charming hostal in a historical building with rooms around an open courtyard. The hostess was most friendly, but didn't speak a word of English (as mentioned on their website). With our few words of Spanish and some German we managed, though. Although breakfast is not served here (and thus not included), we were offfered tostadas (toasted roles) and coffee complementary. We could also borrow a parasol for the beach so we didn't have to buy one. We stayed for 2 weeks in the room above the entrance of the hostal, so on the alley side. The room was simple, as expected for the low price they charge. But it was big enough and it had enough space (also for storage), a fridge and a very silent airco. We even got fresh flowers and candles. The only downside was that the hostal is in the centre of town/village and in between 2 bars. Sleeping with the window open was virtually impossible and even with the window closed I used earplugs.…
We stayed for one week in this Hostal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioned room was clean and comfortable. The fridge was a bonus as was the offer of beach unbrellas and chairs. We were also able to avail of a shower later in the after we had checked out. The Hostal was very central to restaurants shops and bars, as well as to the beach. This very typical Spanish Hostal beats soulless large hotels hands down.
