A sneaky trip back to Chipiona and very fortunate to be staying here. Beautiful clean modern accommodation. All the staff from walking into reception and greeted very warmly to the very busy breakfast lady in the upstairs rooftop area and the very patient chambermaids who cleaned our room well. The kitchen facilities are first class. The only noise was from the reception area as it's all open but not a nuisance. Can't wait to return. Thank you all for your hospitality.
Very clean and quiet hotel right on the Esplanade. Easy walk to restaurants and the town centre and a nice a very rooftop bar. As almost every we went in Andalusia the staff was super friendly . Would certainly stay here again.
Great location so close to the beach. The rooms are comfortable and a good size. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooftop terrace is a lovely place to enjoy breakfast. The Marina Luz staff are friendly and always helpful. We love staying here and we look forward to our next visit.
Have just stayed here for 5 nights in a studio flat with sea views. The pool was still open, if a little fresh! Good pool area and lovely roof terrace for sunbathing and breakfast. The breakfast was adequate, croissant or toast. Many places nearby were closed as it's not high season, so a bit of a walk to find places to eat, but food in Chipiona wonderful, so well worth it. I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful.
This hotel is worth more than two stars ! The rooms are very clean and some have a sea view. There are apartment rooms that have an extensive kitchenette. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the summer season is served in the roof top bar. This bar has lovely sea views and boasts two saunas and handy toilets. There is a lovely pool terrace overlooking the sea, and the pool has a children's area too. The hotel is on the edge of the town, as such, but a brisk walk will take you to the town centre in 15 minutes. It is also easy to find if you are driving. Chipiona is a 30 minute drive from Jerez airport and flights with Ryanair depart from Stansted in the UK.
We stayed for 4 nights in Chipiona at the Marina Luz. We had a road facing studio apartment which was extremely clean and well equipped for our needs. A cute little balcony overlooked the church and the bells didn't keep us awake. The walk into town is about 10mins. Its better to get a road view if you can't get the sea view as some appt's looked straight onto a brick wall. The staff were excellent. Nice pool and 2min walk to a huge fabulous sandy beach with a number of parasols and loungers with cushions to rent; 2 for 10 euro a day. This is a very Spanish resort, not upmarket, with minimal English spoken. Just what we like!
Having decided at last minute to stay 2 nights in Chipiona at end of September when weather was glorious we found this accommodation. The room spaces was most adequate although would have preferred a sea view overlooking the swimming pool but unfortunately they were taken. The roof top bar to wind down and see some sunset as well as take a Jacuzzi was wonderful and cannot fault the overall comfort of the place. On the beach there was still an area of sun loungers and shades at cost of €10 for the day for 2 which was excellent but at this time of year the beach bar is closed. The water was warm for sea bathing and shower provided for washing. Walking into the centre by way of the lighthouse proved to be a lovely way to exercise and soon you will come to a few places to eat with one place Los Corrales looking really nice being at beach level and open for business. Further on close to the mirador viewpoint you find a small place with seats outside "Trebujena " having good value food and sensible prices. Inside the centre more choices. Don't miss visiting the Cooperative Bodega established in 1922 by the Catholics to organise wine production in the town. Would certainly visit again and choose a "shoulder" time away from the madness of July/August and this place does close for the winter at end of October and reopens around beginning of April.…
We stayed here this june 2016 for two weeks, excellent appartment with balcony in this hotel next to the beach. Nice swimmingpool as well. We came back to Chipiona after our first visit in 2013 cause this is the real Spain-experience, we love the fact that there seems to be just spanish tourists. At the beach you can have nice lunches right in front of the hotel. For kids it is a great beach, the weather is always good! Daytrips to Jerez, Cadiz, Sanlucar and Rota are worth it!! Chipiona itself has lots if restaurants. Parking can be a problem, it takes some time to find a spot next to the hotel.
My cousin and I stayed at the Marina Luz in a sea view studio for a week in early June. From initial enquiry onwards we found the experience efficient, professional and friendly. The hotel arranged to collect us from Jerez airport, about a 30-minute drive away. The first impression on entering the hotel was one of relaxed calm - exactly what we were looking for - and this reflected our entire stay. The whole place is spotlessly clean, the public areas are light, airy just generally very pleasing. The third floor roof terrace is a delight, with sunbeds, two jacuzzis and a bar area, where you can get a simple breakfast until 11.30 a.m. (very civilised!) and drinks and snacks on some evenings (every night during peak holiday time). Our room, although not luxurious, was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed, not least of all a great view across the pool to the sea and glorious sunsets. There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk, although not many were open whilst we were there. The main season would appear to be from mid/late June to mid-September, and personally, I would avoid it at this time because it clearly becomes extremely busy - we experienced a glimpse of this during the weekend... Friday to Sunday was jam-packed everywhere! The hotel is under 10 minutes walk into the town, where you won't find any tacky gift shops or loud bars. Pretty much it seems to be locals going about their everyday business. A highlight of our holiday was the beach bar closest to the hotel, literally across the road; Chiringuito "El Primo" is owned by two cousins and they operate a really well-run, very busy little gem of a bar, serving excellent fresh tapas and an extensive range of drinks. Excellent value for money, we found ourselves eating - and drinking - here every day and were never disappointed. In summary, we had a great, relaxing week and we thank Pepe, Cristina, Edou and their team at the Marina Luz for helping make it so... not to mention "El Primo" for keeping us well fed and watered! Looking forward to going back in the not-too-distant future...…
Stayed with my girlfriend for a weekend at the start of October, very enjoyable stay in what seemed like a quiet, off season period for the area. Staff were very helpful and nice and the room was very clean. The jacuzzi on the roof top were great! Thanks.
