Initially we were booked to stay one night however being so impressed by the property we stayed for two. From arrival until we left we were exceptionally well looked after. There is a nice pool in the garden which is very welcome after a day out in the heat. Breakfast was very thoughtfully prepared and better than other hotels we...

We have been to Vila Vicosa thrid time (after the Pousada and the Solar) we wanted to try this place and we weren't disappointed: the rooms are full of luxury (marble bathrooms, super soft beds (hard to find usually in Latin Europe), excellent linen. Everything is made with style even breakfastroom on ground floor bright and inviting. Manuela, the owner...

Every positive review this hotel has is well deserved. I cannot think of any I have stayed in that are so charming and excellent value for money. Five minute from the "centre" of town and ten mins. from Rede Expressos stop. Would love to go back.

We stayed here for just one night recently and chose it based on Tripadvisor reviews. From the outside, it's very attractive with a small courtyard in the front with huge gates out onto the pavement. However, it's only when you get inside the building that you realise it's enormous with a maze of rooms and corridors all charmingly decorated and...

We had quite big expectations for this place because of high rate people had given to Casa do collegio Velho. All rooms , common areas - lots of them, and like home- were beautifully decorated and stylish. Negative was that wi-fi didnt work at room - not so important. Fantastic

We stayed here for two nights in September 2015 and it was a delight. It is a restored grand home with a beautiful walled back garden and small swimming pool. There is marble everywhere since this is close a major marble producing area. The town itself is really pretty with lots of small streets, shops and restaurants. Our hostess, who...

My wife and I stayed here overnight whilst travelling to the Algarve. After reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to try Casa do Colegio Velho. My goodness we were not disappointed. The hotel was like walking into someone's luxury villa with beautiful and luxurious furnishings. The living on the cske was the wonderful reception and discussions with...

My girlfriend booked this hotel for one night as she was attending a wedding in Vila Viçosa. We had a great night's sleep - the bed is big and comfy and the facilities are excellent. The manager was lovely and let us stay on the next day by the pool as she had no other guests. Would highly recommend it.

Without any questions, I recommend this beautiful little place to anyone wanting to visit the inland part of Alentejo! A calm, well looked after, friendly, super comfy place, with a seriously friendly owner and staff. A massive thank you for a lovely stay over the Christmas holidays!
