This castle is very nice. On our road trip to Italy, we stayed here for one night. No need to stay longer. The restaurant was close for lunch so we had to drive out of castello, about 10km to eat. No problem with that, but it would be better to know this info before you get there. But I have...

This boutique hotel (castle?) is just about 25 mins from Florence and also 25-30 mins or less from pretty much anywhere you want to be in Tuscany, in a beautiful spot atop a hill overlooking other beautiful Tuscan estates. This castle is also a working winery and they also have one of the better restaurants in the area as well,...

My boyfriend and I managed to book a room at Gabbiano last-minute and we're so glad that we did! The castle itself is amazingly beautiful with expansive views that overlook the Tuscan countryside. We got a junior room and despite the name, both the room and bathroom were quite large. The AC worked well too. We ate a very good...

Well to the tune of UB40's 'Red Red Wine' we pulled off the road onto a gravel track with impressive gardens and a fine castle in view, surrounded by vines from which the grapes go into the fine Chianti Wine made on this estate. An active winery, a fabulous restaurant (Il Caviliere) and a historic hotel with amazing pool -...

Amazing surroundings and scenery from the garden/pool area. The breakfast was one of the best I've tasted in Italy, was longing for it every evening :) The rooms were spacious and clean. Food at the restaurant was really good, and you could try all their own produced wines. Excellent service and view from the restaurant is beautiful. Close to different...

Everything here was amazing. The wine and food were beyond delicious. The room was relaxing, the pool was beautiful and the view was awesome. For a small fee they did our laundry which was a great help while traveling. A short cab or even bus ride from Florence transports you to another world. A truly wonderful stay.

This place is physically great. Fantastic location overlooking nice vineyards and landscapes. Very nice scenery, interesting buildings and history. If not, this would have scored a One-button. We had the "Tower rooms" with a single bed for our daughter placed at the top, up the spindle stairs. Poor access with luggage and do not think of a fire escape? Room...
