Spannochia is a place not to be missed, it is one of the highlights of our travels around the world, and will never be forgotten! It is a gem amongst an amazing backdrop of acres of land. The atmosphere is very relaxed, we felt extremely welcome and part of the family! Pasta making class, tiramisu class, wine tasting, olive oil... More

Remote facility - excellent place to be with your family and friends that want to "get away from it all". AND - if you want a jumping off place to hang your hat while taking day trips throughout the Tuscan area this is it as well! We stayed in the Casetta al Padule - this house is NOT close to... More

A seasoned traveler, I am always looking for memorable stays in great places. Tenuta di Spannocchia is a very large, over 1000 acres, very old, built in 1500's, and essentially unrenovated property. The land is beautiful and there are usually a lot of nice Americans visiting along with 10 young interns. But that's it. The rooms are old and dark,... More

This beautiful Tuscan farm compound has several room styles and homes on the property to choose from with different price points, all beautiful, very old but very well cared for. You can get to know lots of other travelers at the family-style meals, dining al fresco on fresh meats and vegetables grown in Spannocchia's gardens. The food and wine are... More

What a beautiful place to stay! We wanted some rustic agriturismo experiences on our honeymoon, and we weren't disappointed here. The room was large and comfortable, as was the bathroom. There was no AC, but the walls were so thick that rooms stayed cool. They also had screens on the window and provided a fan, so it was easy to... More

This was our second visit to Spannocchia and, somehow, it was even better than the last time. Every aspect of this incredibly special place was superlative: food, wine, classes and tours, hikes, views, etc. In addition to being a place worth visiting for everything it has to offer on its own, it is also perfectly situated for exploring central Tuscany.... I came here with my mom for few nights, and it was wonderful! The property is not only beautiful, but the staff make you feel very welcome. The meals were excellent, as was the company. The sites are breathtaking, and there are a series of hikes to nearby places. Furthermore, it can be educational if you want it to be.... More

What a wonderful, relaxing place to visit and stay. All the food is organically grown on the premises. Pizza night is wonderful! I couldn't count the different types of pizza that was served. The wine, food and staff are awesome. Best vacation I have had in quite a while. Spent 10 nights in the main castle and drove every day... More

We visited Tenuta di Spannocchia in September of 2012 and had a wonderful stay. The Italian cooking class was great fun with delicious results and we got to see how farm to table really works. The interns were very engaging and the "bed and breakfast" style of this location made it a fun place to vacation. It was rustic and... More

We had a great time. We stayed in one of the farmhouses, which was fantastic. Our own house away from all, but we could go to the main building for dinners and activities. Very much for people who are into sustainable agriculture and living. Also, beautiful country.

“Doesn't make a difference, they were all authentic, rustic and fantastic!”
 of 5 bubbles NeemaT_13, 4 Apr 2014 | Read review
“We stayed in the Fattoria, which is more like a hotel with shared bathrooms - though the place was full we pretty much had the bathroom to ourselves, because our 2 rooms were at the end of a hall with the bath right across. It was an economical choice that sacrificed very little privacy or convenience. If we had had 6-8 people in our party, we might have chosen one of the farmhouses across from the Fattoria instead, so it would feel more communal. That said, our 8 and 10-year-old children shared their own room, and I never felt nervous about them being alone in the Fattoria.”
